Update On Patreon Situation
🕑 Added 2024-04-08 14:08:50 +0000 UTCI haven't said much since my last post because honestly it's just been more of the same. I inquired again about if this issue affecting only me and it is not. I also asked if compensation was something we could get (not looking good). Once again I apologize for this delay after making you wait so long and really appreciate the support, both financial and not.
And on that note, I just wanted to say something about supporting the project right now. If you don't like the idea of keeping your subscription while this is going on, or you're not sure if you want to become a patron since it might seem like there's nothing to show for it, that is OKAY!
Please keep your money until you are comfortable with the project's situation, and only send financial support if you are able to.
And of course for the absolute chads who already are supporting MGFF, your support is still going towards the project, it's not disappearing don't worry. Currently it's just stockpiling in order to pay the artists in bigger commission chunks when all this gets sorted out. Truly, thank you.

There's no audio in the game yet sorry, and no translations either but they will be added once it is finished.

A separate question, download the game in the last download link and when I start there is no audio, everything is at its maximum but nothing can be heard. There is another link to download that I haven't seen Is there a patch in Spanish?

I don't fault you for asking about this don't worry. Let me clear some things up. Development is indeed still going on, I just don't have the art (for the beach scenes and one emily scene) in order to finish chapter 2.0. Dialogue, planing and coding, are all going on while this issue is happening. I thought about pausing payments but there'd be no point, the money isn't dissapearing it's stockpiling on Patreon's website, when it is available to me it'll actually help make commissions with higher quality and volume. I'm also going to look for some voice actors. The point is I wouldn't stop funding unless the project was in jeopardy. As for a plan, since I can't do much on Patreon I'm looking to get more people on other funding sites, I already have a page on itch.io and making one on subscribestar. I'll be making a post on this when ready. Hope this helped.

Do you have a plan on how to resume development in the meantime? I don't mean to be entitled here, but if you have effectively paused development why are you not pausing payments until development resumes? Are you working on any portion of the game you can while you wait for the funding issue to be resolved? What active steps are you taking to diversify to get the cash flow moving and resume development? I'm sorry, but doing nothing while leaving payments active is really frustrating. I totally understand Patreon is being a dick about all this and that's not your fault. But I'd like to have some sort of road map or plan on how you are going to meet this challenge and move forward. There are options.

I don't have an eta since I have no idea when the issue will be solved. While the money is stuck with Patreon right now I do still believe that they will release the funds and I'll have access to them(eventually). As for using other platforms, I agree. I will be focusing more on the itch.io page and maybe start using subscribestar? We'll see.

Also, I'm paying money here to support your development, if that money isn't getting to you, that's super upsetting... in which case I beg you to change platforms and promote it here so the money I pay to you actually gets where I expect it to go.

i mean this in the nicest way possible but, cut your losses and abandon ship, you already had to edit Olivia's roommate, you might have to do the same with Sophie and Charlotte (i hope i got the names right) if you stay here

A lot of similar creators have been getting removed by Patreon recently and have been having to move to those other two sites anyways.

At the very least, you might want to look into alternate methods of people supporting you, at least until Partreon sorts itself out.
