Silver nitrate on its own is pretty tame. It just makes your skin black if you get it on you

Nice. I've often wanted to mess around with silver nitrate but I don't because I don't have a proper setup and it's a bit of a scary chemical in my book.

That is true about the possibility of chloride ions. It didn't even occur to me.
