When the team showed up to the line Carl says "I was the last one here". This should be we were the last team here. I noticed several of the car related activities like picking upgrades were written this way, not sure if that was intentional but this specific line stood out.

I am a newer patron and this is the first DCC book I have consumed this way… I know you are a “pantser” when it comes to your writing approach and the more chapters I read, the more I keep thinking how tough it’s going to be to write yourself out of the corner you have written yourself into. I have been satisfied with every outcome. Every time I read on I feel like this series was written specifically for me. Fantastic job my dude.

I think these are the best chapters so far - Dong's ending makes a perfect bookend that could have not only ended the chapter but, with a good epilogue, an entire book. Never been a racing game fan so it feels like the premise of a lot of the mechanics is kinda lost on me, and a lot of the action revolves around it, but the chaos and finale of that last chapter I think is one of the highlights of the series, and the toddler cocaine and ginger quest with their parody and social commentary are kinda amazeballs

wow so much to process and so amazing. Li Na's goodbye to Jung was surprisingly touching and i enjoyed it. lots of themes of loneliness, distance, love and longing (and throuples/trios). I'm sad we lost Dong but he had a beautiful ending which is almost the best you can hope for in the dungeon. the war on drugs messaging was brilliant, creatures will seek out comfort in any way. I wonder when Carl is going to open his Christmas present?

Ch37, Akuma says PC is a pocket dimension similar to the Nothing. Crawlers/NPCs/mobs there are deemed “lost” but not killed, so Li Na is still in the dungeon if in PC. Herot and Menerva are both in PC and both are still in dungeon. She would need to find/create an exit from PC to the outside to leave the dungeon. (Which Akuma still has not explained).

That seems implausibly versatile for a trap. We had never seen before a trap which could be remotely manipulated like that. And moreover, if Li Na entered Pineapple Cabaret, wouldn't she by definition be no longer in the dungeon? In which case: "If the plant activates on his own, blooms appearing and spores spread but no longer lit up, that means Na has physically left the game. She is outside the dungeon." Seems to be a contradiction, especially with glowing/not glowing.

First time these books have actually made me tear up, and it was the note left to Donut. I'm not a Donut fan, most of the time. But occasionally, she has moments of deep empathy that make her a good person, and that note talked about how one of those moments made a real difference for someone. That hit me hard. Dong's ending was epic, but doesn't move me like it does others 🤷‍♀️

Well this was an emotional roller coaster, I loved it, li nas confession to zahng how she smiled at him so he smiled back was heartwarming, from a psychopath, still touching. Then the entry of the crawler with the magnet spell was also again very emotional I liked it a lot. And lastly corvunda and dong dying together damn. This was an awesome chapter drop. Also how many people here want to be the immunities for tourist will be removed on floor 12? It's probably the only issue I have as until now the implication was they would dienunless stated otherwise at least for me. It makes sense but still felt a bit like an asspull as to why the maestro survived.

Hmm. I loved the mega-chapter drop :) but it was also quite confusing. 1. I've re-read chapter 60, where the Lady Dominators rolled out of the garage, foiling Carl's plans. The part with "We can’t attack them when they’re on their way to the starting blocks" made it sound like the LDs would get to the starting blocks and immediately drive off... It sounds like instead, they just used their en route immunity, left the garage, and then just waited at the starting line until everyone started simultaneously?.. The entire time, I was wondering why Carl was wasting time on goodbyes and such when the LDs' gain was growing with every passing second haha 2. It felt weird to have Donut take what amounted to a time-out... She did cast a few spells (teleportation, magnet, etc) but she's also the mightiest crawler with nearly infinite mana: her not using her offensive spells against the elementals or the dolls was... odd. (Likewise for deflecting/blocking the lava missiles that damaged the truck's hood.) As far as I can tell, she didn't actually help the body-merging process in any way whatsoever. 3. The ending: sooo, they came in last, with no one behind them? 😱 As in, by AI's rules, this is game over? Or is the final scoreboard phrased weirdly? Anyway, that's just my personal subjective confusion - I still very much enjoyed the new chapters, eh. :)

Typos: "hovered nearby" should have a period at the end. "You saved the life of myself and so many others." Should be "lives", but it's fine to leave as is if the crawler in question is using the incorrect wording out of ignorance or a translation error or whatever. "Gonk the swamp Yak" should probably have swamp capitalized, or yak not capitalized. Probably the former for consistency; I'm noticing a lot of capitalized race/species names, like Tapir, but not gnu, for some reason. I suspect that should also be capitalized, given they're in the dungeon, but maybe there's a difference between "his gnu" and "[Name] the Gnu". Similar question with "gnome" here: "smaller version of a Bopca mixed with a gnome". If Gnome is a dungeon race, maybe it should be capitalized, but if Carl is just observing that it has stereotypical gnome elements or features or whatever in the mix, lower case is fine... But in that case, bopka should probably not be capitalized? If Carl has never seen a dungeon identified gnome, no caps probably makes sense, whereas he has seen Bopkas, of course. Sort of like an RPG adding to your glossary as you come across things; gnome doesn't get 'AI autocorrected' to capitalized, because he's never examined one, but Bopka does, because it's in his glossary? "small, knocker-sized walkways," should Knocker be capitalized? I'm not sure, given this is qualitative / descriptive. I will say that without being capitalized, I was confused about what knockers were being referred to (e.g. what are factory knockers? How is that a helpful size comparison? Door knockers are pretty damn small, so that can't be right...), until I remembered the just introduced race, the Knockers. Basically, "Knocker-sized" would be unambiguous. "Dozens of the knockers screamed" - not capitalized. Again, not sure if it should or shouldn't be, with the plural, but Knockers was when it was introduced as a race, but now is being used to refer to a group of them, so now it's not? The AI description of the toddler cocaine uses lower case for the knockers pretty much throughout, so I have no idea what is or isn't supposed to be capitalized for races at this point. "send him an snide reply" should just be "a" instead of "an". "grab Corky out the back seat" should have "of" after "out". "hot, hot legal" should have a comma after he second hot, too. "...been rendered “strung-out” by these..." Strung-Out should probably be capitalized one way or another, because it's presumably the AI title for the condition and is presented in quotes. "My First Sicarios boy action figures" should probably have boy capitalized to be correct (e.g. title is presumably "My First Sicarios Boy"). Or is this supposed to mean action figures for boys? Action figures that are boys? "doll with black hair and with purple streaks." I think the "and" is incorrect and should be removed, unless the doll itself has purple streaks, and not the hair. "Note. It’s pretty much impossible..." Should probably have a colon instead of a period after note, but if that's the established AI style, it's fine. I mostly listened to the audiobooks, so I'm not sure if that's the case or not.
