I find it very strange how unaware people often are even in the medical community of ketamine addiction. I personally have known over the years many many people with ketamine use issues and people taking gram lines in one go and using multiple grams a day etc has just been like a ‘normal’ aspect of what goes on in drug taking circles. I am in the UK and think here people have been into ketamine much more than other places. Often when listening to people talk about ketamine addiction in podcasts and such the facts I hear about how crazy it can get makes me think, ‘yeah… duh, that’s almost like we were talking about how crazy people get addicted to benzodiazepines or something.’ But maybe I’ve grown up in an unusual niche. Talks like this really make it clear quite how unique and incredible Hamilton is as an expert in all these topics, as well as quite how good he is about speaking about them and interviewing other people. He’s so clear and thorough in a way very few people ever are. What a man!
