I'd point a gun at erwin too if i found out the whole city was being destroyed hundreds/thousands of people are dying and I didn't know about any of the context other than "oh its for humanity".

Considering that end cliffhanger, be thankful you only have to wait a week. There was a 4 year gap between the end of season 1 and the start of season 2. It was agonizing for us at the time lol. For comparison, the other seasons only had roughly only a 1 year gap between them.
