R Rabbit would be an amazing interview

Walker Goff

Lol at a music fest someone had a single mushroom out among various stones and gems. It was huge and my friend thought it was a replica. The guy was like it’s real and it’s yours if you eat it now. My friend wouldn’t, but I did. Then he offered a second to my friend, which he turned down. I tried to eat it and the guy was like if you still want it later come back. That single shroom had me feeling like a garden gnome. I don’t really have bad trips anymore luckily but it was definitely hard.

Jenni

Ok I got screwed on a looong “bad” trip because of dosing inaccuracies between the same strains. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Rain Bear

Lanmaoa asiatica potentially? Very popular in china and lately gaining interest as a psychoactive. Apparently whatever is active is destroyed by heat and as such its considered a choice edible.

James Steinley

Couldn’t the way MOA inhibitors effect on other subtlety psychoactive compounds in the mushrooms or just in your body create a sort of distinctive entourage effect without effecting concentrations of psilocybin or psilocin or beacystine or any of of other primary psychoactive compounds?

Rasta304

Same with the Enigma variety. I think obviously that feeling of ‘it’s a different drug’ is because the active compound present in these new types is extraordinarily high compared to even the freshest of other more “regularly cultivated varieties” so to speak. Also- when you couple this with the reality that somehow people have come to think of 3.5g as a starter level dose, many folks are probably in for a bad time with this newest wave of ultra potent fruits going around (APE, various PE types, Enigma, Blob etc) lol. Rather, in for a bad time until they realize that merely a half-gram dried is enough to produce a noticeable effect.

Finn O'Donoghue

Does anyone know what the Indonesian bolete they refer to is?

James Moran

Super happy to see discussion over the trace tryptamines and their metabolites, I would love to see some discussion of aeruginascin in the future though! On a side note, I had the opportunity to 'analyze' Fuzzy Balls (not a phrase I thought I'd be saying today), the strain which placed second in the 2021 Spring Psilocybin cup, and those experiences felt like a totally different drug.
