Litchi: Use game accurate sprites or resized ones?
🕑 Added 2018-10-16 22:29:13 +0000 UTCI started work on Litchi today and I noticed something looked off about her sprites. They seemed oddly pixellated, not as smooth as Noel/Makotos, and kind of grainy, so I went to go find another source for her sprites:
Left is the original, unaltered sprites, and the right are what the MUGEN version is using. I have no idea if i'm right but it looks like the creator shrunk her sprites down for some reason instead of just scaling them with the engine.
Obviously the original ones are better, but i'd figure I'd ask you guys if you'd be okay with me using those instead of the shrunken ones that are being used with the character currently.
The reason for this is that if I do use the originals, I will have t o replace all of her sprites and animations to suit the bigger hit boxes that would be needed, so completing her will take longer as a result. Using the smaller version would be faster but fine details like facial expressions would become several times harder to work on. Let me know what you think!

I didn't plan on adding it but maybe in the future I will. Main focus as far as TOBF goes is completing the dog, and then we'll see :)

my thoughts exactly, the fun of mugen h is being able to tailor stuff to each char btw i asked this a few weeks ago but any plans to add missionary to tobf? so many of ur victims have it but we can only see it with brian/donghwan
I think it'd be nice to try something a little different and make her expressions a bit more on the "willing" side. I'll see what kind of voice clips she has (and If I can make heads or tails of what it is she is saying xD) to support that

I suppose it really is all up to how much time you want to devote to her. If you are unbothered by the additional time to create a higher quality product, I see no reason not to do that, especially if we pay by a per-update system as opposed to a monthly system--we only pay when you deliver. I think that gives you any and all justification to use your time as you see fit.
its never worth sacrificing quality to get something done a little faster. we can wait ps im wondering what your plans are for her expressions? litchi seems like the kind of char who'd be 100% down with getting boned
