I'm gonna try and make some little updates/notices every now and then to keep you guys in the loop (cause pledging to a Patreon and then getting radio silence for a few days is probably not a good sign in most cases, heh).
Some general info for what I've got planned going ahead: I'm gonna do my damnedest to upload a story once a week. Since my Patreon launched on the 5th, that means I'll have a story uploaded on the 12th, then the 19th, etc, etc.
The character polls will open on the 15th with a handful of characters picked by me and a character from each of the Book Sphinxes. You guys will have 48 hours to vote, and then I'll add in the extra votes and announce the winner!
At the current moment, I'm thinking that these character stories should be the Patreon exclusive ones since it makes sense in my mind that only the people who can vote on the poll would have any kind of investment in a special character story. Let me know in the comments if you think that's a good idea or not!
Regardless of if the character story ends up being the Patreon exclusive or not, I plan on having it be the last story of the month so that I have plenty of time to work on it. Also, if time goes on and things go well, I might start doing things with the runner-ups as well - a short 2-page story for second and third or something, idk. We'll see.

Ah my bad. Sorry for misunderstanding. I think most of the characters polls from the stories should be exclusive. The ones that comes from other properties like Baal. The reason why I say most is because when comes to your OC like Kat or Jamie. The ones that has the biggest following and are the ones with most stories around them. There a bit of a grey ground there since some people might be annoyed that they may need to pay for money to read the next chapter. Or if let say story 6 of Jamie is on Patreon while the next story is free on Devanart ( Though having a Kat or Jamie story would be a good money tactic get more people to sub to your Patreon. ) Honestly I’m probably over thinking it sorry. The reason why I payed for the £8 tier is mainly because I like your story telling and I want you to continue doing it. And because the recent Kat story was that good.

That's no problem. But I do think there's a slight misunderstanding here, which may very well be on me for not elaborating clearly enough somewhere along the line, which is my bad. Not all content is going to be Patreon exclusive; most things will be time-exclusive, just as you're suggesting is a better idea. But part of the $6 tier is access to Patreon exclusive content, which is also something I've noted that I'm going to do on my Patreon bio and my DA Patreon announcement. At the moment, the plan is that one story a month is going to be exclusive - basically, one in every four-five stories, which seems like a good ratio to me, but maybe I'm being naive. Anyways, what I'm asking in this post isn't whether or not exclusive content is a good idea or not; what I'm asking is whether these character stories from the polls specifically should be the promised exclusive content or if something else should be exclusive.

I think the main thing you should focus on first is building up a patreon. What I mean by this is that at this current stage you only have 9 patreon. Which isn’t even enough to live off. The best way to build up a patreon is to have content consistent coming out. Mainly on site you publish on and to advertise it. I don’t think have Patreon exclusive would be a good idea. But I think time exclusive would be a better idea.

As much as I love free things, I think having the character stories be Patreon exclusive makes a lot of sense. Provides a good incentive!
