Short Status Update

Just a quick update to let you know we’re still alive and working.
Writing:
Right now, our focus is on the Recruitment Arc in Update 7. Burlingfort now has a proper underworld, where local gangs are struggling for control—or just trying to survive—as the newly founded Reapers and the Genovannos close in on already weakened groups.
In the middle of this chaos, shifting alliances, and power struggles, our two heroines arrive and… well, they probably cause even more chaos 😅
So far, we’re sitting at around 5,000 lines of story, with plenty more to come. This is probably the most complex storyline we’ve done for a single update so far, so it’s taking some time—but we promise it’ll be worth the wait!
Once the arc is done, we’ll move on to the rest of Update 7, including more growth scenes and Gina’s usual shenanigans.

The Update 7 art folder currently has 250 images in it 😎
Okay, that’s a bit of a cheat—many of them are just different expressions for the characters. But nearly every scene now has custom shots or sprites to make everything pop and show the action visually too.

We've also added lots of gangsters, as seen above, though the really important ones are kept back... those are staying a surprise for later 😁 And maybe the one or other returning character can already be spotted on those gang pictures.

So overall, we’re making solid progress. My team has absolutely outdone themselves, especially while I’ve been semi-busy wrapping up my Bachelor’s thesis (only one month left! 😤).
There’s still a ton of work left beyond the recruitment arc, but we're on it. I’ll be back with another progress update in about two weeks.

How long before update 6.2?

So can we expect update 6.2 before the end of May?

Can't give any certain dates. Considering the fact that I commissioned large parts of 6.2 and have to wait on others, and the fact that 7.0 is simply huge makes it hard to tell. I hoped 6.2 could release by the end of April, but I really can't tell as many factors are out of my hand. 7.0 might see a release be the end of May, but that also depends how much we still add or how complex the animations we're trying will become. So maybe June 😓
