I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.. I used Sidequest to install the game into my unknown sources.. and the game pops up! But when I launch it.. everything stays black. Is it..loading? It's been black for a hot minute. How long does it take to load? And if it isn't suppose to do that, have I done something wrong?

I have multiple links in case one breaks. The first 3 files are all the same .rar file, and the last one is a .zip because some people had issues opening the .rar. So it doesn't matter which one!

which file do i download from the four above?

No, it should just show up in your library under "unknown sources"

I have tried everythinig, trying the extracted rar file, does not work, tried the extracted zip file, doesnt work, tried unextract zip as a test, did not work, please tell me what im doin wrong

You need Winrar or 7Zip to extract the .rar file. I'm adding a .zip download link above which you can also try.

I am seeing download complete in sidequest task but not seeing game in unknown sources on quest. There was no option to extract file once downloaded either. Any recommendations?

Hey, I know it's obvious but make sure you've extracted the file before you drag it into sidequest. Also it can take a couple of minutes for sidequest to install it so check the current tasks to see if it's doing anything.

When I try to download the .apk file into Side Quest nothing happens at all. I have tried dragging and dropping the file into Side Quest. I have also tried the "Install Apk file from folder" method above. Neither work

are there plans to update for hand tracking on quest?

...and maybe a way to rename it to "CH" – the Quest isn't as private as I'd like and seeing 'Captain Hardcore' makes it a little harder to hide xD

This is amazing, thanks for doing this. I really hope it's easy enough for you to bring across content and features (that the Quest can handle) from the PC version – I appreciate it's not just copy+paste. I'd love to see this get continual improvement and not just remain an experiment, so my fingers are crossed! :)

hi there. ive tried everything to my knowledge to try side loading your game to my oculus quest through side quest. other games have been successful but when i try to install captain hardcore through the sidequest files option it does not do any thing. and when i try to drag and drop the file into sidequest it just says unrecognised file. please help

Did you look in the running tasks? It should be in there, could take a couple of minutes to complete.

So I just downloaded the apk and it's packaged as a .rar file and when I attempt to install apk thru sidequest, it does nothing.

SideQuest takes forever to upload it, gives me a loading screen. Any workarounds?

Make sure you installed both files in the right order (apk first and obb second), if it still doesn't work remove everything and start again.

WOW! Works perfectly. Would love to see the main build with all its features ported, if its possible. Limited build but on the quest its a whole other level of immersive. Great work!

Have you tried completely removing it and starting again? If you installed the files in the wrong order the first time you will have to do this or it will always be stuck. There's an option somewhere in sidequest to uninstall, do that on both files then re load the apk first, then the obb.

Remove anything you've already loaded and start again, make sure you load the apk then the obb file.

I am also stuck on the dots, can anyone give a better description of how to fix this??

Install the apk,play on quest, goto quest android obb, add obb and reinstall apk.

You probably did the same thing as me. I forgot to install the second file (the OBB one).
