Belmont Igneul

โ€œI was thankfully left alone to do my work while I could overhear Pelopi dry-heaving. She must have tried to eat some of the scorpions.โ€ This is our resident rock eater

Thanks for the chapter. Good thing she's picked up that anti-spirit spell. Typo: "Good to know fires back on the menu" fires -> fire's

I'm guessing it'll be poisons that would be good for criminals but useless for anyone else. Plus poisons that are just too indiscriminate. So: - Poisons that are self-replicating. If you can poison a target, but then that poison spreads to everything else like some sort of magic plague, it'll probably be illegal. Magic poisons that function similarly to virus would fall into this category. - Poisons that are too persistent. If your contact poison can turn that nearby glade into a no-go area for the next 6 months, it's not a poison you should have. - Anything that can't be detected by whatever poison-sensors the nobles have. - Poisons whose effects can be mistaken for something else (depends on the case). E.g. if the resulting corpse looks like the victim died from a common (and therefore non-suspicious) illness, the main use for that poison is going to be assassinating people. - Blackmail poison. There's a trope in which an extremely slow-acting poison is used on a target, and said target must then work for the poisoner in exchange for regular doses of the treatment. Useful for criminals, not for adventurers. - Similarly, poisons whose effects won't be noticed for a long time. E.g. a poison that doesn't kick in until a week later, or causes infertility, or gives an embryo brain damage. Useful only for assassins. - Poisons that are harmless against monsters, but harmful against humans (or dwarves, or elves).

Aclys

I mean technically she can already learn any skill (that she has been shown) by leveling up and using points. So I guess all this might do is unlock a random skill every time the trait levels up, how does she level it up? By leveling up and spending points! Fun way to let her have up to 10 random skills, or more if she uncaps the trait...

matt

Do it. I double dare you.

CataFlan

Yes it is. But, besides bloodroot, what else we had?

Zhypher

Bloodrot? I think that was classified as poison?

Aclys

[MissingNo] Unlocked: MissingNo. can evolve or learn any moves through leveling up.

Lunadea

[???] profile unlocked! Can you imagine the errors! :D

Aclys

Shame about being unable to farm traits off of these things... She's not even getting the traits/templates off of the base creature, but maybe next level the monsters will be viable.

Aclys

I mean neurotoxin is apparently one, so anything in that general range of deadliness I guess

matt

botulinum, ricin, nephrotoxins, Batrachotoxin, Maitotoxin. Also, neurotoxin is a bit of a misnomer, there are...many forms. For example, the beta-neurotoxin paradoxin, which blocks Acetylcholine.

Shai182

Not to mention, Syl starts to build her Cover as a Slime Tamer, nice work there

Daniel Mountain

Well, at least [Dissection] will get a workout...

Enif

This is doubly good because it gives Syl a chance to rest and recover her elemental swaps.

Shai182

That sounds like a question one should not ask... openly ๐Ÿ˜‰

CataFlan

What kind of restricted poison is out there?

Engineer4God

Tank oo fur da chap!

Hector Gregorio

no new forms in this dungeon, noooo!!!

Shai182

TFTC! Yeah, some snooze time before getting deeper...
