Thank you for the chapter!

As I said, its subtle, and I think it would be fine if he were justa. bit more explicit. Though I admit, I did miss that he was missing some memories. I thought he was simply limited in what he can do, and whom he can interact with.

You also have to factor in the fact that when he woke up after the restrictions took hold his memory and faculty’s were impacted severely. It’s likely the restrictions locked out those particular memories for this very reason since it seems that one of the restrictions is that a book owner cannot have magic. This also brings to light the issue of what will happen if he does succeed. Will our cute little bunny girl still be able to read and communicate with Arakil once she has mana?

Kasper Lynderup Jensen

Is that not what he was thinking in his internal monologue when he was searching through the books? He didn't tell Lily any of that of course, but that doesn't seem unreasonable. Or do you mean he should have been more explicit in his reasoning about why he had to search for it? Also it has been mentioned earlier that he doesn't have all his memories, so it is even possible that he doesn't remember the details of the methods he used himself.

Jeanean

I really like this new story. Though, I do have one very small issue with it. It's very subtle, but I believe it is a problematic precedent that will result in Arakil being portraid incorrectly in the long run. Now, this is just and assumption, but I believe to be the one and only god of Magic, he would have to be the most intelligent, skilled, and knowledgeable mage of all times. I would also assume that while he might collect any all magic he can get his hands on, that is all merely inspiration for him, and the vast majority of magic he actually uses is of his own design. It was also mentioned that he used methods to grant or increase his own Mana on himself, and that he did so several times. As such, I find it VERY hard to believe that he wouldn't be able to design a method for Lily to get Mana himself. I also doubt that he would be able to find alternatives for the more problematic components of this method, even if it would drastically reduce the effectiveness. Now, the problem I have is that it is implied that he needs to search his archive for a method suitable for Lily. This makes it appear like he is the kind of character that simply collects "ancient rituals" and "forbidden tomes", only ever copying what is written there. It makes him appear like a munchkin that became the god of magic purely due to his power. That is clearly incorrect. On the other hand, what would make a LOT more sense, without changing the flow of the story or portraing Arakil incorrectly would be if he said that he knows a way to give her mana, but lacking many materials and methods, and being restrained to the resources of a single orphan girl and her big sister, it needs to be really fine-tuned and perfected to achieve a reasonable result. And for THAT, he needs access to all his research and raw data, which are in his archive. (To give a comparison, its like how most people can calculate the rough circumference of a circle, but if you want an actually accurate result, the vast majority would have to look up the value of Pi if you want your result down to the tenth decimal.) Its a small difference, but one that I think is important. Its also not something that would change much about the story in its current state except the time it was mentioned that he needs to search his archive to help Lily.

Daniel Mountain

I'm thinking a mana gathering glyph. Applied to the skin, it might jumpstart the process.

So, we know which runes Lily knows now, but not which sigils. Judy that the sigils vent make anything that dangerous.
