Zorgdub

The really surprising thing for me in this chapter was to hear squires give orders to a knight. There's something unusual about this order.

Thank you for the chapter!

Gopard

Thanks for the chapter!

All caught up! Really enjoyed the story. Im gonna apologize in advance, I'm a terrible nag and I WILL be compulsively whining about anything I think doesn't make sense or could be done better. With that said, I've got two things I'm BEGGING you to add: 1: have her finally mix some elements with the Torrent spell. It just seems like low hanging fruit, and a flame thrower spell or acid hose seem like they'd have some very useful applications. Actually, she really should just mix every spell with every element, the fact that she hasn't is kinda nuts, but Torrent seems like its just so, so obvious. She seems to instantly combine a new element with a debuff or the "bolt" spell, but she's leaving a lot of untapped experience on the floor. 2: have one of her sub cores constantly flexing her mana suppression skill or whatever it's called. I don't think she's used it beyond that first time she got it, and she literally lights up the room to mana sense, all the time. People should constantly be like, "damn elf lady tone it down".

Peter Smith

She has tried, multiple times, the only elf she had any contact with ran and hid. He ran so hard that she couldn't even get a meeting with him until the assassin attacked, and then when she scheduled a meeting with the ambassador the kobolds attacked. Besides even if she had forced it upon the ambassador, more likely than not he would vehemently refuse it. The context clues given is that most likely he physically cannot take possession of it, either politically incapable or magically incapable, its possible that its cursed or magically locked to a specific person or someone with a specific key or tag, meaning the only reason why syl can keep hold of it is because Sylthaerin authorized her in some way.

BrotherJohn

It seems likely that curse magic’s strength is directly correlated to restrictions like sacrifices. The curse magic both times was triggered upon their deaths. So strong yeah, not as over powered as you’re probably thinking. I don’t think it’s as if a caster can just willingly perform a strong curse like that using only mana.

BrotherJohn

lol you must be be here to anime manga and web novels. Thats literally every single one of them. Don’t think about it too hard, it’s just part of the magic and it makes fights cooler

Beeees!

Except for the soul burning part if that black flame. I think that's the part that's uh oh not the actual heat

Néstor Rocha

This. In fights, and especially in group fights, you need to start getting used to imagining and writing about multiple things happening simultaneously at the same time, accounting for the speed at which everyone should be capable of operating. The sheer number of action everyone should have been capable of during the span of that conversation is enormous.

Why do they think Syl hasn't turned in the pouch yet? It sounds like it's information rather than an item, so it would be useless to kill her if she had, and it's not like they could be magically tracking an item in the pouch.

Lol It's dnd rules, speaking is a free action.

You know this isn't a turn based RPG right. It always seems so weird when people can have whole ass conversations in the middle of a fight between two clashes that should only be a fraction of a second apart given movement skills involved. I like the fight overall it just seems like the dialogue should be kept to one or two word signals and orders spoken out loud or telepathic communication that can be as fast as thought. It also makes sense at points like the end of the chapter where Syl is pinned down. As it is I got impression that Syl wounded the healer than waiting a good 15 - 30 seconds for them to sort things out before following up on it.

Engineer4God

Tank oo fur da chap!

Marquess

That might be available either in the illusion tree or later in the light magic tree. Not being able to see with light is worth not being visible, especially when she has so many other senses already.

BeepBoop

She is doing her best to learn! "I cursed in annoyance"

V

I do hope that Syl gets the idea to spec into invisibility - it already has the chameleon traits, so just put a couple sub-cores to work on mimicking the surroundings. What better defence than to not be there at all? What better way to take out a proper group than by a surprise? And nothing beats invisibility if you want to stay unnoticed...

Blanc

TFTC! Time for Vee to set up portal and use return to sender option

SapientX

"Pale Apostle" sounds like a very cool class and has some nice abilities. Not good enough to stop a very determined Syl though!

Kevin McGuire

Curses seem a bit overpowered... so when is Syl going to learn them? Is there a curse slime? Maybe a black or brimstone slime?

Abishek Kumar

lot of new profiles and traits to come

crazybot

Dang, I wonder if this will do actual damage? Or will Syl turn into a more durable form?

Kail311

Great fight, it's interesting that even as OP as Syl is, she can still be caught off guard and struggle. Nice to see every fight isn't going to be a one-sided curb stomp.

Hector Gregorio

Well....that would lethal....in someone that don't have can pick fire inmunity from salamander, otro salime, and fire worm, to fire

Matt H

Maybe it's just the nature of the most recent chapters, but I think I'd be interested in fewer yet longer chapters a week if it meant I didn't have to deal with such blatant cliffhangers.

JAndy

Why give us such a major cliffhanger before the weekend? 😭

Lionheart Copperhead

TFTC!

Shai182

TFTC! And you always sort out the bad vs good healers... then "remove" the bad

Wensber

Thanks for the chapter!
