It would be really cool if you could add a speed percentage selector box on the interpolate screen to change the speed in the output file as part of the process. I'm sure there are other folks using this to create slow motion. It would also improve SSD lifespan since it wouldn't have to write another copy of the file in the desired speed.

Because 2.x is less optimized for 2D animation right now

Why is 1.8 still recommended for anime instead of 2.3? btw love the quick settings tab!

LTSM

I mostly removed it because I already have it in my other GUI, ff-utils: https://github.com/n00mkrad/ff-utils/releases/ It was kinda redundant to keep it in both programs.

GadgetBlues

I'm generating slow motion so I use the lossless speed change constantly. I know I can use an ffmpeg command line but the gui was really convenient, I'd love to have it back if possible.

LTSM

That doesn't make any sense, that's what Flowframes' "Maximum Output Framerate" setting is for. Using Permiere will reduce the quality.

LTSM

Quick Settings replaced it, because it was obsolete. Anything you still need from there?

GadgetBlues

Thanks but the Video Utilities tab appears to be missing, I don't see anything in the change log about it being removed.

One thing you can do is to run your 24fps footage at 4x to 96fps in Flowframes, then time-remap it (speed/duration) in another program like Premiere. In Premiere, interpret (not interpolate) the footage at 60fps. Set the time, rather than the percentage-rate to match the original video. The percentage will fall into place from there. Export that at 60fps and you shouldn't lose any information since you'll only be subtracting overflow frames.

Thanks for the quick response. And thank you for all the hard work you've been putting in. It's much appreciated.

LTSM

This isn't possible with RIFE and won't happen until a new AI like FLAVR comes out (which should be soon though).

David Gerrold

I'm patiently waiting, but hoping for a setting that will interpolate 24fps to 60fps ... or 24fps to 120fps, then down to 60fps.

LTSM

That's something I didn't think about lol. I'll change that in the next update.

Andy Zou

Removing the ability to set input FPS doesn't work if I'm using an image sequence.
