Blue Yeti is just a victim of overhype and narrow marketing. They targeted streaming gamers, the majority of whom didn't know how to properly use the mic (putting it on the desk away from themselves or right next to their clicky keyboard), and it got a bad reputation for that. It's like hating Jeeps for not being limousines. I've come across at least a half-dozen ASMRtists who swear by it and their audio sounds fine and dandy.
I have a blue yeti myself and it’s pretty nice, def a good starting upgrade

Yeti is good, though there's also the Yeti Nano, Samson G-Track Pro, HyperX Quadcast, Elgato Wave 1/3, Rode USB. Just a few other alternatives as suggestions. But Blue Yeti's still good
