News concerning my HDD data recovery

I've got some news concerning my data recovery. My company has recently kept in touch with me. The good news is that a good chunk of the data has been restored, including all of my art stuff. The bad news, as you can imagine, is that the final price was even bigger than I originaly estimated. Luckily I was able to negociate a delivery of a free storage unit of my own, which has reduced the base price significantly from what they wanted to ask. Still, we're talking about over 1.000€ here.
It's a price I can pay. Will hurt, for sure, and it'll mean a change of strategy on my side to get the money back. I'll probably have to think of cheaper quicker pic packs for sale, go back to stream commissions temporarily (even though I'd change the model a bit so it becomes less burdening to me), and will probably have no choice but raising my commission prices once again.
I'm confident that I can get the money back in a matter of a few months. I've been in far worse spots in the past, and this is not the end of me, by any means.
However, I'd like to know what you guys think. Do you think it's all worth it? Should I just forget about the data and start from scratch, let the past die as certain dark-sided character would've said?
I've still got time to answer them, so I'd like to know your opinion on the matter.

I have no clue how much was lost, but I would think over what is more efficient for both your time and money. I hope everything pans out well for you. Take care.

Hoo! That's a grown-up sum, and no mistake. My opinion? That you're even considering paying it suggests that you'd lose a lot more in the long run if you let it go. We'll support you no matter what. And that includes any kind of voluntary assistance we can offer in pecuniary matters.

Yeah. And it's not just the art: it's all the references I had, the art in progress, and much more. I agree with you there and I'm willing to pay that amount. I'm positive about being able to recover it eventually, specially if I work hard on creating new packs for sale. Of course it goes without saying that you Patrons will get access to the whole content of those packs from the get-go :)

If you've lost a lot of art, then it's worth it to get it back. If it's only a few pieces (and I know mine was one), then starting over might be the better choice. Either way, we will support your decision. :)

Hey LDH, Thanks for the update. Concerning your conundrum here, I understand the situation. It is a bit of a tight spot but the loss of your art would be more costly than the money spent on this new unit down the road. That's just my opinion of course.
