This might be it, everyone

It's been quite a ride up to this point. Got a lot of support from some of the best guys I've ever met on the network, and every new addition has always been more than welcome. I was wondering how long could I keep this up. Sadly, it might not be as long as I expected. But let's just start from the beginning.
As you might've noticed, my amount of updates for this month has... decreased quite significantly. Maybe not for some, but definitely for me. The reason is as simple as it's sad: I'm already feeling the effects of overburning. That's it, folks: I'm in serious need of a break. I've been working non-stop on Patreon updates ever since the pandemic started, probably even sooner than that, and my mind just can't take it any longer. Add some personal life complications to the mix and it means my will to continue is way less stable than it should be. Here's the thing: I love what I've been doing so far, but the feeling of always accomplishing other people's desires over mine has always been there, and I can't simply shake it off.
As some of you have already suggested, I do need a break. And I intend to take it. Starting by July 1st, I'm putting my Patreon account on hiatus, meaning no more regular updates will be submitted. Initially I intended to keep this hiatus for two months only, but unfortunately it might take longer than that. There's another reason for this, and it's the fact that this website no longer feels safe for my model of business. I won't give many details in here, since I don't want to get some unwanted attention over me, but shady practices and unfair attempts of content control and censorship have already been mentioned several times. I simply cannot risk to get a banhammer at any time being without a fair warning. So yeah: LDH's Patreon as it is might come to an end sooner or later.
Fear not, though, as this won't be the end of me as an artist. I'll simply look for another platform. In fact, I'm probably moving most of my business to my Discord server, to keep things all packaged up. This might be also a great opportunity to me to look up for another kind of content. As much as I enjoy creating DiD art, I feel the urge to explore other areas most people tell me I excel at, and to be perfectly honest, this monthly update basis I kept in here was really leaving me out of time for more personal projects.
How does this affect to June's updates, you might wonder? Well, there'll be two major changes. First one: there'll be only one poll this month. You'll just drop as much characters as you want, and I'll craft a pic with the 3 most voted ones. Second: there'll be no tier block this time. That's it, June's updates will be available for all my patrons. Consider it a final token of gratitude before I leave.
How about the other unfinished rewards, such as OC Showdown and DiDmake? I still intend to do and continue them at some point. Just... not here or anytime soon before my break. Here's where my Discord server comes in. Any further art updates will go there first and foremost. I still appreciate the quality of some of those unfinished pics, but I simply lack the emotional punch at the time being to get them done.

I understand, we all need alittle down time and how long that time is gonna be is up to the person who needs it so enjoy your time off, take care of whatever your personal problem is and hopefully it works out in the end. As for patreon I can't say anything because I'm not in that boat, I just support but if other artist are having problems and patreon is be unreasonable then it might be time to stop with patreon but that's up to you and others to make that decision.

I know it's never an easy decision to make to take a break, but I think you're being responsible and making the right choice for your own health. Patreon's hypocritical puritan attitude (which let's be honest is for the benefit of their advertisers and nobody else) is always going to be a problem for anyone making art intended for an adult audience, no matter how wholesome the content is, and I certainly consider your content to be wholesome all the way through. Subscribestar is slowly starting to come through for my wife, and although it doesn't have any of PayPal or Patreon's puritan problems, it does have its own set of thresholds to overcome before you can make any kind of profit. It's definitely worth investigating the options available to you. Above all else, you deserve to feel fulfilled and to be able to express yourself as you choose. Whatever road leads you there is valid. Be well my dood.

I bid you good luck and am looking forward to seeing your pics once again, after you've gotten the rest that you deserve. "Real life" is more important.
