Why waste Money on a person editor? Chatgpt can polish your writing for you. “Please polish and edit this capter for grammar, spelling and style as if you were an editor at leading fantasy publishing house such as Orbit, aiming for a style consistent with my earlier writing and the work of George RR Martin” 😂 it will donit beautifully in a matter of seconds

The point is not to make chapters perfects, the point is to make sure they're readable. Editing takes a lot of time out of my schedule. Having an editor streamlines 50% of my workload. Having to comb through readers' comments to crowdsource editing, if anything, increases my workload.

Great story, but disagree. Chapters don’t need to be perfect for Patreon. A lot (most) authors rely on editing feedback as they post. Cancelling my membership. $12.50 a month is higher than the usual $10/ month, and with the drop in posting frequency simply isn’t a good return for the cost.
