Finally, a chance to show off. It had taken the rodent witch a long time to lose weight – it was one of those things that spells didn't really help with. You can conceal weight, you can even gainweight with magic. But losing it usually required a living vessel and there were few who wanted to fill that role. So Jenny had taken to jogging, clumsily with her stomach bouncing and heaving in front of her. She tried sit-ups, pushing against gravity and her blubber with every repetition. Push ups were, frankly, out of the question. It took a long time but finally she was ready to show off her new self. And what better place than a ball?
The local mages guild ran a ball every new year. Somewhere for witches and mages of all descriptions to relax let loose. Typically casting spells there isn't encouraged, but there are plenty of floating bottles of beer or glasses of wine. Delightful dishes tempted Jenny to forget herself and gorge on the plethora of fattening foods available, but the mouse kept her chin in the air. She was thin and svelte, something the witch rubbed in the face of much of her competition. She had done all the work, and showing her new figure off in a form hugging dress tonight was herreward. The sounds of some of the jealous mages muttering among themselves did nothing but delight her.
“Do you see that bitch? Last year Jenny was practically a hog! Now she comes in here showing off like that – who does she think she is?”
“Right? Did you see the lookshe gave Isabel? Please. We all know you're thin, it's not like you have to shove it in our faces.”
Jenny didn't bother replying, that would only confirm she'd heard them. And maybe she wasoverdoing it a little bit. She didn't have to rub it in the faces of the other mages so much. But on the other hand, it felt so good.
The mouse witch was just about to do another lap when a bolt of magic sizzled through the air. Jenny didn't catch who it was that cast it, she was too pre-occupied with the feeling of her fur standing on end. A transformation spell! The magic went to work instantly, the tip of Jenny's mouse nose starting to flatten and turn upwards, like a pig's! Her perspective was changing, becoming closer to the ground as her clothes got tighter and tighter. Her beautiful dress which had once gone down her thighs was now riding up a stomach which was ballooning in front of her like a cauldron filling with fat. Horrified, mortified, she clutched her wobbling gut, whimpering to herself, head still buzzing with leftover magic.
“There we go, Jenny!” Someone's voice came from the back of the room. Jenny couldn't see over the smirking faces of the other mages. “Just giving you the form you deserve! A hog-nosed rat!”
Clutching her stomach, Jenny cursed herself for not having a counter-spell ready. She had been so cocky and now this! Her stomach rumbled loudly in front of her, causing the other mages to giggle amongst themselves. One of them pointed out the buffet, filled with fattening foods. That was the last thing she needed! But still, she found her feet taking her in that direction all the same...
