Since the drawing is the first image within a text post, it does appear in the notification email (It doesn't happen when it's an image-only post like the tether comics or the brjeaus ones, but using those formats would make the image appear in the small thumbnails of the post, so I think the current format is better). I just wanted to comment that, I think the system works 'cause both the 18+ emoji and the NSFW word are clear in the subject of the notification email, and the "cover" image occupies the entire screen space before having to voluntarily scroll down before seeing the drawing in question. So I personally consider that the system works well, since we have to take a sufficient number of voluntary steps before seeing the image. Sorry for the little wall of text.
