Dontnod believed the original story to be complete, its ending left to the imagination of the players; if the fanfic is any indication, they achieved their goal. But it's not Dontnod anymore, it's Deck Nine and it's toxic working environment; also, its Square Enix, and my first reaction these days is always Fuck Square Enix. Bringing Max back is a combination of panic button pushing and a cashgrab. The collector's edition doesn't even include the game! The ONLY good thing about Double Exposure is more work for the voice actors.
