on a good day (probably when i'm warmed up properly), having just a rough sketch is enough and muscle memory does the rest when i line it from just vague shapes. but usually there are multiple sketches that get more and more detailed each time, until eventually i end up with a clean lineart! for this specific artwork, it was a good day! :)
