HYP3R

The reason the cliche exists is because of how often soldiers sacrifice themselves for their comrades. Death and collateral damage are a part of war, and I am pleased by the realism. They may have completed the mission, but it still feels like a loss.

RiverusRomurus

Rikku's death does feel a bit too cliche, but more importantly it doesn't really make sense, she died without putting up any semblance of a fight. No kunai, no sword (she should have a weapon out if she's going into an active combat situation), not even an attempt to injure the enemy Shinobi after receiving her injury, which you could argue she's just a genin and is in too much pain, but she's also on the better side of Takuma's generation and would likely still have a ton of adrenaline, making it possible to retaliate.

Just Kab

The diabolical irony of this most likely being what gets Takuma the field promotion (A deep cover mission in enemy territory with this much accomplished in such a short amount of time, several months, with only a 14% causality rate on their side; They eliminated a respectable amount of Chunin, stirred discontent in the city, crippled the addict Shinobis supply, and managed to eliminate a JONIN) But they lost somebody—They did all of that, they earned acknowledgment, and they still lost someone important, precious to them. Takumas gonna have to live with that blood on his hands.

Fair enough I suppose in a sense I didn't care a lot about rikkus character so thought it was alright for her to serve as a plot device for takuma to suffer lol.

Jabari Lambert

The Jonin fight was way more graphic than I expected legit had to pause for a moment, really well written

Lazerate

I am not really about that in terms of was it bad or good. Takuma's bombing was written good, I felt that. Rikku's death was too cliche and too sudden.

Joaquín Repetto

Nah I'd love that part. God bless collateral damage, Takuma bin laden forever !

Aeon

Thanks for the chapter !

Conor lennon

I mean It is a war so I am fine with it. It would be lucky for a squad in this situation to have no casualties. The only bit I felt uncomfortable with was takuma bombing civilians.

Lazerate

I don't really like that Rikku died. Just because it seems a bit out of blue... Maybe a bit cliche, idk. For some reason she could defend Takuma only with her body and she died very fast afterwards. Maybe it was still justified, but... Doesn't mean I have to like it, right? So I suppose It is not some kind of criticism, just my view on what happened in last chapters...

Mohammed Sheekh
