Welp, this might crush his chances at promotion. Can't have a leader suffering emotional breakdowns like that.

At least he didn't fall to his knees and shout "Kaaaaaahn!" ;)

There's a typo at the start of his meeting Motohiro. It claims Steam picked up his family for interrogation, but it should be Frost.

I don't think age would do anything. It's more about experience. Takuma's usually a cool and collected person, but he's still a someone who feels plenty emotions. In my opinion, his connection to this world is people—he cares for those who he forms bonds with—and that's when you see him acting more like a human and less like a cold shinobi. Perhaps in the future, when he's seen too much, he would grow dull to even death of his comrades—but I don't know if I want to go to that point. However, I'll say this, there will come a time when he'll come to enjoy things related to being a shionbi—like thrill of a fight, the methodical planning for a mission, the process of interrogating someone to get the intel—because if doesn't enjoy those things, his life would be utterly miserable— but I don't think he'll ever like being a shinobi. We won't get to see an older Takuma—as in when he's Jiraya's age, or even when he's the age of the Rookie 9's parents—but I don't think Takuma will be an active shinobi by then. I think once all cannon conflicts are resolved and a period of peace is ushered in, Takuma will semi-retire and take up gardening and leather working. Edit: Also, he's 14 now, or almost is— will have to check timeline to make sure.

strange to see takuma lose his cool but I guess even if he is a shinobi, he is still just 12 years old.
