I need a title for RR.
🕑 Added 2024-08-17 14:20:33 +0000 UTCUnnamed Tower Climber doesn't grip me.
I'll put out some ideas and you guys can tell me what you'd click on.
Multiple choices are allowed/encouraged. Looking to get a good average.
However unlikely, if there is a suggestion that magically gets more hearts than anything else got votes, and I don't hate it: I'll pick that.

True, but the other LitRPG titles are way worse. Also the title fits one of the major themes much better than most similarly named stories do. Hyperbolic Adventures was my fav though.

Or the compromise title "The Williad, the Legend of William Oh"
Jacob
If it aint broke

Just wanna say that even though it’s winning I think The Legend of Blank feels like an incredibly common title for RR stuff.
Sam A
The Legends of William Oh: Rise of the Tower Goat (or Origins of the Goat) Tower Survival GOAT: Origins of Oh Resourceful Tower Tactics: Gloatingly Goated
In-Game_Name
Damn I really like that lol
Cyrus McEnnis
Damnit it's way too late but I'll put an ivory down on "The Story of Oh" for reasons that will make sense to only a few well educated perverts.

You might lean into the word myth or mythos in the title. The best part is these Puckish misunderstandings about William Oh, and it has actually taken on plot relevance.

Oh, and Co., | Vol 1 : stepping out

Oh - goes up

Maybe a pun on the last name? Like “The Tale of William Oh: Absolutely G.Oh.A.T.ed?”

Quick, unrelated question: as a Reader tier, is it correct that I can’t see past chapter 8? As to title, I think an explanatory subtitle as some of the examples have will be useful for this book. Edit: a day later, I now see through chapter 22 :D - looking forward to catching up!

Maybe I'm mistaken but to me it seems as if his transformation is still ongoing. The gravity goat sacrifice and the resulting skill might have been early but the mask and the boots were very recent. There's probably going to be more in the future, too.

My brain keeps flipping between Generalized Occupational Aptitude Test for the goat test in fallout, and Remo Williams the adventure begins from way back in the day.

William Oh’s Crazy Climb

The Amazingly True Legend of William Oh.

All my votes for this.

Maybe I’m overthinking it but when I read “The legend of…” I get instant Randidly Ghosthound vibes. Maybe it’s cause I’ve just read it, but I feel like in RR that might be pretty common thing with how big the story is. Something to consider

The Man, The Myth, The G.O.A.T: The story of Williams Oh
Alex Matheny
Calling something that happens so early in a story a spoiler is a hit extreme
Zach Schmidt
YES that’s even better than The Legend of William Oh given there is already the Legend of Randidily Ghosthound
austin kutz
The legend of William Oh subscript the Goat climber of all time
padanu
There’s already a litrpg on Amazon named the g.o.a.t (or something similar) fwiw

I'd say... Tower G.O.A.T. Similar to mountain goat? Other options work too...

Best class for tower climbing is ~Dragon~ ~me~ goat!
Josh Cothran
The Legend of William Oh is clearly the best option :D

Even though something involving "tower climber" is a good descriptor, as a reader I feel like there are WAY too many existing RR stories with "tower climber" in the title. To be honest I dont even read the description for most of them because there are so many and they are largely identical clones of each other. From what I had read of this one (im behind now) its a bit different from the rest and the writing is years better than most tower climbers (pretty sure most of those are power fantasies written by high schoolers) I feel like putting that in the title might be detrimental to growing a fan-base quickly. I voted for both the options containing "Willam Oh" I see some other good "William Oh" related titles in the comments too. I think havin that in there is the way to go.

Actually maybe we can double down on the caricature, with something like "The complete, accurate chronicles of William Oh's hyperbolic ascension of the Tower" and maybe make Jason Salazar or Loth the Luminary the summary's author
EDMANGO
The ballad of William Oh is also one I like
sebsebs
Maybe something else than "adventures" though, to get more of that Salazar flavor. "Hyperbolic ___" ? Tale(s)? Journey? Epic? Rise? (Tower) climb? Legend? Retelling? Story? Life? Deeds? Chronicles? Feats? Or just "The hyperbolic William Oh"
Joel Magnuson
Legend of William OH or William Oh's hyperbaric adventure are probably the best. Any title with goat in it should wait until the second book to stall obvious spoilers.
sebsebs
The hyperbolic adventures of William Oh is the best imo The best balance between epic adventure and meme. Too much of the former feels like a generic weak to strong novel and too much of the latter feels like a cheap trendy novel
Leobardis
The Legend of William Oh : A Jason Salazar Epic
Daemion
I would refrain from using anything with goat in it because that's a spoiler. "The Last Climber" ... that's either another spoiler or incorrect.
Leobardis
This is a great pun, but I feel it would be lost on most prospective readers.
JhanicManifold
oof, you're better than the last 3, those are SEO slop, though they might help your average amazon litRPG enjoyer find the books
Mahadma
A/The Jason Salazar Epic is an awesome series name.
Apoca
Definitely the goat. It jumps out with the "WTF" factor.

Choose the funni. Always
