idk, never thought about it. would be very interesting to try, if you have the hardware and the data. I'd rather bet on the models trained by big companies always being better than custom made ones, but it is worth trying anyway

yes yes

ik this would probably be expensive, but have you looked into making custom natural language models to interface with minecraft, like an encoder trained with text and image pairs to produce action outputs, a model like that could probably be small enough to fit on most consumer PCs, especially if using an API for LLM inferencing, but the main issue would be training. this model could be used in tandem with an LLM for higher order thinking, while the encoder takes those high level actions and uses them to do actions per timestep

I can't believe claude is protecting the villagers this much ahahahah

Roadless Heathen

As for looking like a psychopath... All those dead villagers??? Of course you do!! 🤣 ⬆️⬆️⬆️ And see, perfect example of something that someone could take real offence too where no such intention was there. You will hit it at some point.

Hmmm, I watched this before reading your description. I certainly drew no such parallel between the video and 9/11. Yet, your concern is probably valid in that there will be people who will. That said, I've been involved in a life altering situation here in the UK at a football stadium, and if I let every video/situation/comment remotely similar trigger me, especially within a Minecraft environment where all sorts of abusive/cruel/vicious activities occur, then I'd probably have to never allow myself to see a screen of any description ever again, just in case! Unfortunately, you have chosen to enter a world where you absolutely will not be able to avoid upsetting people at some point. And, the most dangerous time will be when it's something you don't see coming at you. For this, as others have suggested, I would simply post a short comment that "this video has no intent to echo any past, present or future events in real life" (yeah, I'd actually recommend adding the word future if you're gonna make this comment!). Perhaps even make a small emblem/stamp to make this a permanent feature on anything destructive from here on in to lessen the impact on this particular video?

I wouldn't recommend including the "destroying the tower" segment on YouTube. No matter how you present this content in the video, there will always be people who feel uncomfortable with it, and some might even lash out at both the video and you personally. Simply explaining it away as an accident won't convince viewers who are encountering your content for the first time. If malicious individuals take advantage of this situation, you could easily become a target of online harassment. On the internet, emotional reactions often override everything else.

Matias Badino

It'll be fine, just mention you didn't mean to.

Anonymous

It's not done on purpose, no reasonable person should be offended. Just explain that you only realized it looks bad after recording at some point in the video and you're all good imo.

Max Robinson

well, I'm trying to get see if I will get really negative pushback before posting to YT

Max Robinson

I don't think I can get away with not mentioning it. it is too obvious, the comments will point it out

Max Robinson

lol where do they say that?

Calvin Yazzie

If shown on YouTube you could get more if not even better feedback for troubleshooting

“No worries. It’s safe. I’m protecting the villagers.” 😭

HardComet

It might be worth doing it again with only one tower. There might be a lot of hate, but idk. If you do upload this footage then I would say don’t mention it in the video.

Cammymoop

I think it will most like inspire some memey comments but otherwise it doesn't seem to be in poor taste. At least not any more than convincing an AI blow up any random structure of virtual humanoids that is
