Small recommendation for the future of this chapter - Arlo is a savvy guy. Avarice already expressed a strong willingness to trade for information; he should absolutely get a pound of flesh in exchange for the Luck Evolution text (plus they revealed the crystallized mana thing, as well as the Dumping achievement). Some small piece of information or item in exchange for what Arlo shared would make this flow better in my opinion.

Every time you take something that was unique (or unique as far as those we've encountered) to the MC and share it out, it becomes a disappointment rather than being something special. Give a man a million dollars and he is plus one million dollar. Give everyone a million dollar and it is worthless. There are ways the party could benefit from this without making an MC special no longer an MC special. It doesn't help that this comes just after the MC got shafted on OMGBUILDAROUND item because "oh, MC already has nice stuff" - unless that health regen is 100/minute. (Health regen/hour doing fuck all when getting face pounded in over the course of a minute).

Based on this Nuralie thinks they have a work around to maximise the gain: “Could we do a full respec?” asked Xim. “Trade all of our stats to Avarice, then get the bonus for every level when we get them back?” “Based on the text,” I said, “It should only trigger once per stat when spending points.” “We could receive the stats back in 5-point increments,” said Nuralie. “Then we would maximize the benefits.”

You missed one trick. It has to be a dumped stat. They would have had to spend 5+ stat points at the same time on a single stat. That is why Varrin and Etja said they'd only 5 extra stats. I really don't think it is worth it though. I'm not great on LitRPG numbers, so I'm probably missing something, but 5 doesn't sound like a lot.

Also, upon leaving the delve they would have lower stats for some attributes, which can lead to some unsettling moments, behing unexpectedly clumsy or slow for example. this could be fun and have some light consequences if they leave to emerge in the middle of an enemy encampment. I expect them to be able to train stats such as speed and agility quickly in the closet, so they could emerge a week or a few weeks later having recouped their stats in those domains, and find some unsettled enemies.

also, what's this about Grotto pretending it's too expensive too give training stats and that they don't have an unstable void sphere? both are false. The closet is now 40 cubic kilometers big (at some recent point Arlo mentions his inventory being 5 cubic miles, so the closet is double that). It is understood mana gathering scales with the size of the space and, unless the scaling is severly lower than linear, they are absolutely gathering enough mana to give training stats again. I don't remember the size of the closet when Grotto said it would take 18 years to accumulate enough mana but it was probably less than 100m a side, which is 40 000 times less volume than it has now. Assuming linear growth of mana gathering with volume, it would take 4 hours to accumulate the total required. Assuming mana gathering scales rather with the size of the interface with the outside of the space, they could have maximized the interface, but if they didn't it would still only take about 6 days to collect enough mana. So for mana gathering to still be this low the dependence must be neither of those two. Also, Grotto made the process more efficient, so it wouldn't even require the total mana he mentioned originally, making it even cheaper and even weirder that they somehow can't gather enouth. An unstable void sphere? they have one, it is safely stored and the problem was theycould not spend the output fast enough once all the party had been upgraded. One response could be that it was going to explode, but this was something considered manageable, if they had something to spend the mana for. Ergo: they can use the same trick again. The only thing preventing them from getting training stats again is the level 10 limit, which can be made as hard as the author desires. What I would recommend, is for them to ask avarice to take away their points from stats under level 19, so that they can train them again and reduce the number of levels Avarice is going to give them. This actually makes more sense than Avarice somehow granting way more levels than any delve should, compared to the relatively low difficulty of this delve. The extra levels from Avarice feel un-earned, this would feel like a nice use of resources at their disposal. And it restores the disparity between their supposed level and their actual strength, which is an excellent way for them to rise to challenges with level requirements and from a writing standpoint allows for conflict to emerge more easily with people thinking they can bully them around because they are low-level. And Arlo at least gets something from this encounter. For now he is paying and getting forgotten in the loot dstribution

So, if I understand correctly, everyone who is not Arlo will receive 1 bonus stat for the 10 creation points, plus 1 per every 5 stat points they got from leveling. With their current lvel, that means 8*10/5 = 16 stats from levels. So they would get 17 extra stats from dumping, while Arlo only got 13. I am assuming I understood correctly that stats trained through "that's a lot of stats" cannot be removed and replaced for dumping purposes. This means Arlo stat advantage, that he had from getting more points via training and his dumping is getting reduced from: 10 [he wasted only 8 points from creation while the others wasted 18] + 13 = 23 to just 6. Did I get all that correct? This is a major buff for the party overall, though for the reader it might be frustrating because the mc, to put it as he did, is getting shafted at every turn in this sequence. Of course he might not be the mc anymore, with that role given to the party as a whole, but with his loss of another one of his idiosyncrasies it really feels he is just getting more and more irrelevant in the group. He is just the guy who gets pounded, heals the party that way spectates the others doing the job [I was going to say Xim because I find her insufferable, but the point is not me disliking the party, I like all of them except that brat and enjoy when they do cool stuff, I just want the mc to be less irrelevant].
