the Faith is pretty much broken after the burning of KL. Cersei was quick to reinstate the ban on the right of holy men to bear arms. The Citadel can't do much in the North. And nah, that was some flavour/epilogue stuff.

Will the Citadel and the Sept go after him? When he awoke from his funeral pyre (Chapter 1) there was a world wide reaction in Asshai, Valyria and Island of Toads, will there be an expansion of the storyline into that?

Ah, but they did the kill. Aegon was killed before Jon set him on fire. The Faceless man had taken the appearance of one of Aegon's squires and taken use of the distraction to sabotage the whole setting and kill Aegon, making it look like an accident. Also, even if they didn't do the deed personally, Aegon is with the Stranger now anyways, so the contract is fulfilled. Tl;dr There are no refunds given by the Assassination cult.

Jon returns North and is like "Yeah, so I killed the Ironborn after sinking their fleet, revealed myself to Cersei when she decided to fuck with me, ambushed Daenerys and her dragon after she tried to take a leak in the middle of nowhere, challenged Aegon to single combat and torched his army and dragon with my bare hands. But yeah...other than that, nothing exciting"

Oh interesting. I noticed the weirdness of his chair collapsing, but didn’t equate that with the Faceless Men. I can’t recall- have they appeared in the story before, or is this the first time?

The Faceless man poses as one of Aegon's squires and sabotages Aegon's chair, and placed rocks around it, so when he fell and cracked his head open, it was an "accident".

Arguable, since a castle with a few dozen defenders can hold out a much larger force. Defenders that would never surrender to essosi slavers. But yeah, some lords on the eastern coast would definitely not be able to defend their lands if slavers come knocking. Also, let's not forget that the Vale is still almost completely untouched.

Damn! Very good chapter. Wish the fight was longer! Is this the end of house targareyan (not counting Jon)? Will there be any HP related characters later and will story move to a wider world setting or end?
