Hermione is... overused. There's like half a million fics that have her as centric/main character, and I don't think I got anything new to contribute there, so I decided to do AU + OCs. All in all, while Harry misses his 17-year-old friend, the 11-year-old Hermione is kinda annoying and a stranger with a familiar name for all intents and purposes. Him deciding to make a clean break with his friends to not drag them into his mess is a painful but apt decision. And yeah, Harry totally didn't fully realise that his usual desire to be helpful earned him a new friend in Diana.

I intend to pick up the pace before the summer ends (RL summer) to two chapters a month. And well, the first year will be somewhat expanded upon to set changes, goals, characters, and interactions, while the rest will be rather fast-tracked until Voldemort returns. I might try to go faster than that in the future, but no promises.

So I’m really enjoying this so far. I’m not usually into stories with OC’s, but yours are well done. But here’s my concern - it’s been several months, we’re up to chapter 6, and we just finished the sorting. I know this isn’t your main story, but I feel like this story is on pace to finish sometime in 2055. Please tell me I’m wrong!
