I think that Viserys might actually believe Jon if he hears about the Long Night. That was the vision of Aegon the Conqueror, and no one other than Viserys knows about it. Him claiming Jon as his own would not be out of the question here if he hears the truth about the future. I can totally see Rhaenyra making Jon claim a dragon to prove his Targaryen parentage in hopes of killing him. It would beautifully backfire. Rhaenys clearly knows about Corlys’ bastard sons.

I wonder what's going to happen now that everyone assumes Jon is Viserys bastard son. I don't expect either Jon or Viserys would lean into the rumors but it's hard to deny his dragon blood now that Jon is bonded to Vermithor. There isn't anyone else close enough in age to have fathered Jon. I'm also curious to see how this plays out for the dance. Is Jon going to chose a side or is he going to be a third party? At this point i can't really see him siding with the blacks but if he meets the nutcases that are Aegon and Aemond then I don't see him fighting for the greens either. Maybe he will rescue Heleana and run off with her and Daemons daughts to form a little "Blackfyre" harem lol. I'm a little nervous about what Rhaenyra is going to do now. Jons not just a bastard anymore so I could see her forcing him to wed one of Daaemons daughters. It would be funny if she trys to get him killed by taking him to bond with a dragon and Vermithor just walks up like "whats up bro". Can't wait for more.

I love how the Blacks put two and two together and got five because they underestimated Viserys’ impulsiveness and of course have no way of knowing the real reason Jon has Targaryen features. I would love to watch Jon vehemently deny being Viserys’ son, only for Vermithor to drop in, lick him like a puppy and convince everyone even more that they’re right! I can even imagine Viserys doing some mental gymnastics to convince himself that maybe he did have a bastard. After all, the man does seem to have genuinely convinced himself the Strong boys are legitimate

Great chapter. The rumour of him being Viserys son will travel all around Westeros before it can be stopped. I can't wait to see Viserys reaction. He probably knows that this isn't his son but I could see his mind hoping that it is true. with how disappointing Aegon and Rhaenyra I could see him wanting this kid to be his dream son who came out of the womb with a crown on his head. It would be hilarious if there is a scene of Viserys interrogating Jon about if he came out with a crown and Jon just staring at him like WTF have I gotten myself into

Good chapter, Dragonstone's "Human Dragons" and their gossip and speculation are so funny. Chaos is a ladder...sorry wrong character. *Spoiler* I'm grateful that you didn't magalinize Plate (gorget) and that even with Valyrian steel it was emphasized that he is "far stronger" than expected, as well as of course the second blow that was needed.

I loved the chapter. Jon being mistaken for Viserys’ son makes a lot of sense. That the rumor will spread like wildfire and shortly be taken as fact is hilarious. No matter how much he denies it, that will be him just being noble and protecting his father’s reputation. Tomorrow it’ll spread around Dragonstone. In a week, it’ll be all around the Crownlands. In a month or two, all around Westeros. A legitimized bastard son of Viserys may cause all sorts of problems. It may actually give rise to a third faction. With or without Jon’s involvement. It also makes it near impossible for Cregan to reject him. Calling Viserys a liar would likely bring a visit from a dragon. Daemon may be estranged, but he’s still Viserys’ brother and would likely take offense, even if he is completely mistaken about Jon’s origins. Though thinking about it, Jon being Viserys’ ‘son’ isn’t really a lie. Jon is, after all, a multiple generation grandson of both Viserys and Daemon. Vermithor mentally pressuring Jon was excellent. Jon’s not the boss like he was with Ghost. I’m not sure how long Jon can ignore his dragon, despite his desire to ignore everything and fish. There is no way anyone is going to let Jon just relax and fish.

Well shoot. Now all that's missing is Vermithor coming to pick his human up from daycare, ready to brag about Jon to all the other dragon parents. Seriously aching for that reveal, but I can see how it would be big trouble if it's too soon.

I have a feeling that somehow by the end of the story, Jon will be king of the seven kingdoms. And as he sits on the iron throne, his one and only desire is to quit so he can fish.

It was very similar to what I had in mind originally(the greens suspecting it was Daemon's bastard, and Daemon being ambigious because he suspected Jon for being Viserys), but this worked a bit better and it's not nearly as convoluted. The sheer amount of guesswork flying on discord is also ridiculous, and is eventually bound to hit true at one point or another. I didn't plan this fic in detail, which means pretty much most small details are open to change and written on the spot.

I wish there were more chapters, but being a writer myself I completely understand the mental and physical toll it takes. If you could write more you would. As for the chapter itself, I haven't read it yet but I'm sure it's great like usual. Thanks for the chapter.
