🕑 Added 2025-06-19 08:58:54 +0000 UTC1-A Ballad of Snow and Flames (Name Pending): A semi-dark story featuring time-travelling Rhaella x Jon Snow.
Rhaella dies giving birth to Daenerys, only to wake up young again, right before she is condemned to a life of suffering by her parents, who themselves chose love over duty. In her fervent desire to get away from her fate as Aerys' wife, the young Rhaella desperately rushes into the world of magic, blood, and the divine, but playing with time and other forces beyond her understanding has consequences: her unsuspected grandson who is lingering between life and death after betrayal most vile is hurled in a foreign time and place.
2-The Black Lily: A crossover story featuring Harry Potter x Fleur Delacour reborn in Dance Era Westeros as a Blackwood and a Bracken, respectively. Rivals to lovers. A greater focus on magic exploration, with all the eldritch present in ASOIAF, as well as fiefdom building and Riverlands/royal court tensions and politics.
Instead of Cedric, Fleur reaches the cup second, but Pettigrew butchers the entry into Little Hangleton's graveyard as he manages to kill both Fleur and Harry, who were busy squabbling over the cup.
Probably going to be quite a sizable story spanning many years.

This is not a really good choice between two rather uninteresting story concepts... with Ballad being only slightly more interesting read for a simple reason it's not a HP crossover. Or a crossover of any kind for that matter.

Many haven't read/seen HP in Dragon-Wolf. It's easy because HP isn't dominant, but 2 characters who have history and rivalry are tough, especially since there's already another HP story.

What about a story where two people from the 1990's who die in a competition to see who is better are sent to the Game of Thrones universe by being reincarnated as the children of two powerful conflicting houses and realise the medieval world is shit and set about bringing about change and fall in love along the way? Don't think of this as a HP story. Imagine Gladiusx writing an Englishman and Frenchwoman being forced to work together because everything sucks in a medieval setting with dragons. :)

Respectfully, Snow and Flames is another Jon Snow story where he saves a Targaryen woman after being dropped into a different time. It isn't even unique for this author. It also likely ends with King Jon fighting off the white walkers. Black Lily gives us the perspective of a male and female from near our own time dealing with Riverlander situation. If you watched House of the Dragon did you like the interaction Daemon had with the Brackens? I thought it was a neat explanation for why the two houses still exist.

Snow and Flames seems incredibly unique and will be a stand out. I really hope it is what you decide to go with. Black Lily just seems meh. Anytime a crossover moves more than 1 character over into the other world it usually isn't worth reading in my experience. Don't really have much interest in a H/F that isn't in the HPverse.

There are not enough stories with Rhaella. And the ones that do, usually have her as a whipping post for Aerys or for smut. And while I don’t want you to burn yourself out of writing about Jon Snow, I’d love to have a more canon Jon meet his grandmother

I chose story 1 for the same reason I picked the last story with rhaena, the character story is so rare that there is practically isn’t any that isn’t horrible writing or just a oneshot smut fic which is fine but still i really wanna read a rhaella story. Anyway if you’ve got one more jon story in you this would be it, i’d still read your harry potter one, but the harry/fleur is so played out compared to the uniqueness of the jon/ rhaella which would really pull you in!
