First, I must apologise for the delay. I'm mostly better, and the chapter took longer than I hoped (and writing a new PoV for the first time is always more challenging).
Second, as I said, the title in the poll (Ballad of Snow and Fire) was a pending/placeholder, so it has been changed. For those unaware, the story won by one vote. The poll stayed up for a whole week. For the unhappy with the results... I can only point you to the troll voters or the... 400+-ish patrons who were too lazy to give a vote.
This is going to be quite a dark/grim story, as I mentioned in the og preview. I'll bravely dive into the more eldritch elements of ASOIAF. The change I considered on Discord and in the Patreon chat about Rhaella only 'seeing' the future instead of living it has been implemented. This is also probably my last Jon Snow-centric/relevant fic for a while, and this will probably be my goal to aim for the closest to ADWD! Jon Snow from the books, freshly raw from betrayal.
Anyway, I suggest you give it a chance. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Good to hear that you are feeling better. Won’t really be reading the rest of this one as the premise didn’t interest me and I’m exhausted from all the Jon Snow. Still be supporting, but it is what it is I guess.

Well the results of Jon and Rhaella getting together can’t be argued by her family if Jon somehow hatches the dragon eggs in the future. If that happens in the story anyways. Can’t wait to see more!

Thank you, and I am not the biggest Targaryen fan. I was far more Starks, Durrundon, and Baratheon—the North and Stormlands in general. However, I do like a particular Targaryen, such as Maegor the Cruel, Aemon the Dragonknight, King Maekar, Aegon the Unlikely, Maester Aemon, and Rhaella. So I am very interested in seeing Rhaella in this story. I just want to know if Jon kills the Heart of Winter, will he gain the power of winter? Please let something like that happen. Great job, and I am very interested in seeing where this story goes, especially after No Joy in Command was such a great work. I am curious to see if Jon will somehow gain an Ice Dragon from this advantage. Fantastic job, and you're genuinely a gifted Author and wordsmith. I'm eager to see what happens next. I do hope you start feeling better too.

I enjoyed the intro chapter of Broken Dreams. It was very well done and evocative. The ‘old gods’ taking Rhaella’s blood and her dragon egg was a nice touch. It seemed a fitting price to pay for what she was asking for. I enjoyed Rhaella’s POV. Thinking about it, with it twice being repeated in the opening chapter, Shifting Destiney seems like a good title. Mea Culpa.

Glad this story won. I’m mostly here for the scenes of Aerys and his dipshit parents losing it over Rhaella having a modicum of agency in her life and the whole prophesy thing “falling apart”. Should be fun.
