Chapter 02 of Broken Dreams is out for Squires!
🕑 Added 2025-07-07 21:27:27 +0000 UTCA very... late chapter. But it's here. Probably not what most of you expected. On a side note, the prologue has been edited, smoothened out, and is now a good 700-800 words larger, and should read better. Writing Rhaella is hard to pin.
Anyway, this is probably the last Harrenhal chapter, and next we'll move to KL. Do let me know what you think in the comments.

Cool chapter. Rhaella is doing the best she can for her age. Her idea to get Aerys caught with a highborn lady is actually a decent plan. Aegon V wouldn’t want the scandal. He seems terrified of offending nobles. I have to say the Targs have collectively lost their minds. Aegon needs an incestous marriage for dragons? What dragons? He’s going senile. He’d be better off marrying Rhaella to a Tyrelll, Tully, Arryn or Stark. Ditto Aerys. The queen being an obvious exception, she still seems to have her wits, but she’s a Blackwood. Still, even she isn’t fighting the sibling marriage despite her daughter’s doubts. Aerys is surprisingly decent. Though possibly beating the maid an obvious clue that will not hold. Jon’s scene raises more questions than answers. Thanks for the chapter .

Thank you, and it seems like Jon is still killing White Walkers, which is excellent. I am curious if what Rhaella gave him will help. Let's see if Rhaella will be able to change fate. I enjoy how the Old Gods having that sense of unknown power asleep was great. I'm eager to see what happens next.
