It is very unfair to judge Steve so early because a child crushing on the teenage bi- I mean Nancy, called him a douche. Steve is way too good for Nancy! I legit do not know what Steve did in the first episode for yal to label HIM as the problem, when these 1st 2 episodes have shown us that Nancy is the problem, yet yal continue to act like Nancy is this sweet good person following Steve's bad example, I believe it is entirely the other way around! Literally, Steve has never pressured Nancy in any seen we have seen, when she pulls away, he stops, he never peer pressured her to drink, she seemed happy to do it just at the mere suggestion (along with the other interactions between the 2 of them) but Nancy did peer pressure Barb into going to the party and drinking! Also, why is there no criticism for Jonathan who is taking photos of people from afar, including through a bedroom window of Nancy getting undressed? How is Steve being into Nancy and kissing her and wanting (though never pressuring her) to make out and have sex more worthy of being vilified than peeping tom Jonathan?

Fairly certain most shows are serialized like this now. Serialized, meaning stories are ongoing, carrying on from one episode to the next rather than standalone episodes. I rarely see any shows that use s standalone format now, except for things like Criminal Minds, shows in the Chicago-verse, and other cop shows. Love this show. Super excited that you're reacting to it!

This show hooked me pretty fast when it came out, however being that it started to go like 2-3 years between seasons, the charm of the kids is gone, which sucks. As for Charlie and Natalia the couple you said you wish were together in the show.. Nancy and Charlie are a real couple and have been since the show started and as far what the googlesphere says, they're still together.
