🕑 Added 2024-08-11 00:18:54 +0000 UTCA lil process steps, this one is more focused on how to approach backgrounds. I use a lot of 3d assets nowdays, backgrounds are just too hard for my brain and this had helped me expand what i can do!
It does take some reworking so that it blends in with my artstyle

backgrounds always stopped me from expanding because my brain just dont work with them, 3d helped a lot.

I highly recommend it! I used sketchup at one point then put some time into understand blender enough that i can use assets for scenes. It saved me so much time and let me up my scenes.

Yeah I trained as a 3d enviro artist way back before deciding to do illustration! Now if I need something I can't find it comes in handy

Where do you tend to get your 3d assets ? I used to make a bunch of mine but I don't love doing that constantly haha
