It was rare for Carmilla to willingly emerge from a slumber, but Demi's state was one she could only halt, fully aware of the potential destruction it could unleash. With a single usher from Carmilla, the dreadblood was swiftly calmed before it could consume Mannon and returned to Demi's body. Now that the dreadblood was awake within Demi, she would need to begin training her.
And we are done and dusted with this one. I was being a bit stubborn in trying to finish it properly instead of a cutoff. At least we finish off with demi cake.

I really appreciate the closure on this one. With the incredibly emotional stories, that final frame makes it clear how the pieces land. 16 illustrations in a month's time, and it caps off with an image I will keep revisiting!
