Do you know how to fix CRT monitors?

Entry level stuff should include discharging the flyback; pretty metal tbh. You jam a metal tool into the CRT's anode cup so the thousands of volts goes into the metal frame rather than ur body. I have one that's just a screwdriver with a lamp cord wrapped around the shaft.
i know that magnet alignment can be an issue, degaussing coils, purity/convergence rings, yoke fitting

A few questions. What are some common repairs that a CRT might need, that would be fixable by a clever novice? (ie broken VGA cable, buttons that need replacing, etc.) What tools are required? Could someone fix a CRT without special tools? What repairs could and couldn't be done without tools?
