Update 1/19

So I'm popping in to let you know that I've gotten down about 2322 lines of code/writing done for the next update. Plot-wise I'm maybe mid-way through Saturday morning. I won't lie, I wanted to be a lot farther along by this point but a number of things have kinda slowed me down.
I think the main thing has been overstimulation and some of the overwhelm that's come along with the release and feedback I'd gotten from it so far. Both good and bad, I've found myself reading and re-reading what people have to say about the game and I've had to tell myself to step away from it and just focus on creating the game that I'd always wished existed. It's hard as fuck though and not something I'm used to, so any pointers in dealing with that would be greatly appreciated. I also am in the throes of a shitty mood this past week, so I'm sure none of that is being helped by it. I've been drinking my weight in hot chocolate and trying to practice self-care to get into a better mental state though.
That being said, I am happy that I'd gotten over the initial hump of writing for the Saturday AM bit, mainly cause (as I'm sure plenty of you know by now) there is a shit ton of things that could have happened the night prior. I did plan for this convergence point in my plot and many others in the future to account for the wild variance that can happen, but it doesn't make the time to write and reconcile those points any quicker. But, it's done and I'm happily moving forward with the plot as planned before.
I've also been seeing some of talk around a walkthrough or guide of some sort to help folks who feel they may have missed something in the game or just want to make sure they are aware of all routes. I'll say this: A walkthrough, if there is going to be one, should be made before the next release is out since the plot (while vast) is at least manageable now, future updates will only make it less easy to write lol. I can't dedicate the time to make one now. I can, however post a quick list of things that can happen in the latest release and some steps to get to them, it just won't be super exhaustive. Be on the lookout for that in a patron-only post :)
If a walkthrough is something a lot of people feel strongly about, I'd be happy to chat with some of you and figure out the best way to go about it collectively (Cause I need to focus on the next release and not new projects right now. lol)
Also, a very kind fan of the game gave me a list of questions to answer, and I thought it would be fun to share some of my answers over the next few posts. If you have a Q you'd like me to answer, please send them my way and I'll include them in a post :)
Would you be friends or even romantic partners with one of the College Craze characters if they were real?
I’d probably be friends with Demi, April and Bernie. April is a sweetheart and she’s similar to someone I know IRL. Bernie’s also based off a handful of bartenders I used to work with over the years, and they were always the best friends to have, lol. Demi is most like me now, and I feel like for the time of my life I’m currently in, she’d be the most stable and easiest to relate to.
Romantically? Jay (he’s everyones favorite lol) He’s not the most safe choice for obvious reasons, but theres a sense of respect and a care for the MC that a lot of the other guys haven’t quite achieved yet. My other pick would be a toss up between Shaun and Jace, lol. Shaun has his flaws, but outside of Sugardale I think he’d be a good partner. Jace is a tad on the immature side, but I think once he got over that he’d be pretty fun to hang around as well.
Who would I just fool around with? Gabe, and Grady for sure, lol. They’d be terrible romantic partners in my opinion, but I think they’d be a lot of fun in bed haha.

Forgot to respond to this, lol sorry. I get what you mean, I've known a few Thomas-like characters in my life too. But like you said, once they open up they're actually pretty cool. You're absolutely right, Thomas needs a friend for sure. And of course, we need pretty brown eyes to get lost in <3

I chose Thomas because he reminds a lot of a friend I have in real life! They’re always hard on others, pretty judgmental at times, and a bit of a square but they have a good heart! They’re environment made them prickly. It just took awhile for my “Thomas” to open up to me and for us to finally see eye to eye on some things. Idk what you have in store for Thomas, but he just looks like he needs a friend lol I’m not surprised about Jay lol! From what I seen so far you wrote him really well! Btw, I love that you gave him those pretty brown eyes!

Hey Nairobi! Thank you so much :) I hear everyone loud and clear, lol. No walkthrough, but a scene guide that's short and quick for me to whip up is certainly in the stars :). I totally get what you mean, the sentiment seems to resonate well with me, and I think I just need to stay true to my vision. Lol, at this rate we're gonna have to have a battle Royale for Jay's hand in marriage. I'm surprised by the Thomas for a friend, what made you choose him?

Hi Pretty Ink! I wanted to say that I love your game, and I think it’s amazing so far! I’ll have to agree with everyone else here that I don’t think you should make a walkthrough for the game, I feel like that’s unnecessary work for you. The most important thing is your mental and physical state above all else! Personally, I really like the direction you’ve taken with the story, and while critique is good you still want to keep your original idea, if that makes sense? I 109.2% simp for Jay😤 I already love him, he’s def a romance I would want or Demi I simp for her as well! I think friends from CC would be: Ruby, April, and Thomas
