Looking great Ru! I think the brackets do a great job of letting the reader know that those lines are in a different tone of voice/softer volume. Lil' dude fox seems to very much like his horse unf's very intense! Also, nothing wrong with adding in personality and comedy to something like this! It's probably something more comic artists should do. Take Sefeiren/Frisky Ferals, their comics have comedic relief basically every page, and have become extremely popular. Goofy and funny interspersed with serious and lustful is a good configuration!
