BondageFox daily update - details!
🕑 Added 2021-01-18 06:24:14 +0000 UTCOn the one hand I don't want to be a pain and spam updates on something when there's not lots of big changes... on the other hand I don't post often enough here, so I'ma keep up with the daily updates for now. I'm kinda having fun with this guy, the process is very different from my usual models and I wanna share!
So here's what I did today- Deettaaaillllls. So many little fiddly details. Also did a lot of rigging for it- he can move now without bits floating off him. The rigging on the harness is kinda iffy though... I tried some tricks to do it more nicely, but in the end the only way I could find to make it work that didn't cause clipping issues was to just transfer the weights from his body and call it a day. The advantage here is that it's very simple and there's little to no clipping problems, but the downside is the metal bits can stretch and squish which looks kinda off... it's easy to ignore in most poses but when you really push the poses it becomes quite apparent. Unfortunately, the life of a bondage fox often involves being pushed into extreme poses, so I may revisit it if I think of some clever way to solve that problem.
If you guys have any ideas for how to rig something with a million little parts like that without clipping issues popping up everywhere, do let me know!
I also gave the guy a ball gag and blindfold for his collection of BDSM toys, and tweaked the design of the hood. It now covers his ears, and I think I like that a lot more. Those big ole' ears were way too much bare fur! Can't have that with this guy. The hood needs a lot more detailing but it's getting late tonight so I might tackle that tomorrow. The blindfold could use a little something to spice it up too, though I'm not sure what yet.
His arms are feeling a little bare to me right now, compared to everything else they're pretty light on detail but I'm not really sure what to add on to them. I don't want to do another lace-up thingy like on the boots because that was a fucking nightmare, but I can't think of much else. They need more metal somewhere but I'm not sure where to put it...
Think that's it for now. Still much to be done, haven't even begun to detail his actual body for example, heck he doesn't even have teeth yet, but I'm pretty pleased with how he's coming along so far. Do let me know whatcha think!

Probably not going to go quite that extreme with the chastity device, but I might work in some kind of cage as an option. :P

Yeah, I'm thinking of adding in something like that as an option, so he can be switched from 'available' to covered up.

There seems to be some demand for it! I want the model to be fully usable when it's done, but I see no reason I can't add in an optional chastity cage!

So far most people seem alright with it, seems like most people who are here are probably going to be a bit more interested in my WIP stuff than the norm so I can probably get away with it. :P

If you ever truly find yourself agonizing over whether your patrons would be annoyed by more smaller/iterative updates, just ask! :) make a poll or such to see what kind of content people want to see. I for one will never say no to a WIP because even if I were to find it uninteresting (which I don’t) it never would take the place of the completed pieces you post anyway. I’m fairly positive the vast majority of your patrons share this mentality, so you don’t need to apologize for smaller frequent updates ^^

It's a combination of blender having handy tools to help make such tasks go by faster, and spending 12-14 hours on it a day because I have no life and nothing else I wanna be doing. x3 The vambrace idea is an interesting one... I'll have to look into that one a bit, mess with it and see if it's compatible with what I've got in place!

Wait. What. How... I don't even understand how you can possibly do so much tiny detail work like this so fast! Like, the grommets and drawstrings on the leggings, how? HOW?! Maybe for the arms you could do a leather vambrace type thing? Basically is like a cuff that goes all the way up the forearms, with 3 or so straps/buckles, since the forearm is a solid object. I've seen people put lots of metal hardware on them--D-rings, O-rings, more strap attachments, etc. Whatever you want! I think covering the ears with the hood is a super awesome idea--Also gives you the option to canon-in some sensory depravation with it, too!
