🕑 Added 2022-04-04 02:36:45 +0000 UTCSo, we are twenty chapters in and it's looking good so far, don't you think?
At this point Elijah's character has shined through from multiple perspectives and you should have a basic understanding of him. These first twenty chapters were basically an introduction to him, his power, the surroundings and other important characters.
Now the focus will slowly turn towards the development of his power, character and realtionships, while the plot will advance very slowly.
You may have noticed that not even a day has passed in the story timeline, so don't be surprised when you have to wait for some action to happen.
I will try and keep it interesting with training montages, slice of life parts and other minor plot points.
For example the meeting between him and Emma Frost, his half-sister is something that will happen eventually, as she has a great network and will find out about him soon.
Though honestly, I wrote these first chapters without much script and just did what felt right.
I know that a lot of you weren't interested in a pairing with Jean Grey, myself included, but I hope you will realise after reading the chapters I uploaded, like I did, that there is just something special between them.
I don't know where it will lead them, or what his connecton to Laura will turn into, but I hope you trust me to make something out of this that is worth reading.
Well, that was basically it, with my short status update about the current progress and the retrospective, I hope you all like it so far..

A small harem done right though is usually top tier once the semi necessary initial drama passes.
I personally hate stories where the Mc just goes after girls because he wants to satisfy his ego, and it ends up with him just collecting dozens of girls.

I would be lying if I said that this thought didn't cross my mind, but the pace has to be right and the connection will have to be there. It's also not something than can be done casually, as loyality and fidelity are important to Elijah. Anyway, I will just write was feels natural, as that usually turns out best.

Yeah large harems are pretty unrealistic and ridiculous, but maybe with this fic depending on how things turn out maybe a 2 girls could work.
Though as a general rule, I don't really like harem at all.
Hell, if I know at this point. I do believe that he will end up with one girl, but really can't promise anyhting right now. We are at the beginning of a long long story. How he and those around him develop will have to be seen.
