Surprise antagonist, I hate them with a passion, so I won't include them in my stories any time soon. I do get that, I am a reader much like that and I appreciate your effort, as I always enjoy talking about my stories a bit. Thank you for the praise, it means a lot, as it reassures me that I am on the right path as a writer. Yeah, you can rest assured, I love writing more than anything and sharing my stories with you, so you be at ease and go back to your 'detached ways' with a light heart :D

Thanks for the clarifications, although the latest chapters you posted earlier already contained most of the answers I was seeking, but I'm still quite glad and relieved to hear about my biggest concern, the one about a "surprise antagonist". Truly great stuff. I had been reading the chapters through the email notifications that I was getting so I didn't have a chance or feel the need to be on the website and post my opinions about them, but when I saw you asking for feedback on the new story, I made the effort to come around and express my gushing appreciation, both because you truly deserve it, and in an effort to keep you steady on this path that I very much adore ;) After hearing about your motivations, I guess I can rest easy and go back to my relatively detached ways.. ^_^

Glad you like my stories, though I honestly just started writing as I couldn't stand all the cliche writing and plotarmor driven works on webnovel and others sites, until I thought to myself, that if that is the standard of what is called a 'story', than I could do so much better. I enjoy consistency in the main character's actions, while being a huge sucker for OP MC's and simply abhor shallow characters. I love characters with depths to them, someone that knows suffering and seeks to freedom. It's these boxes that I try to check with all my characters, though I still take care to make them unique. I don't really write stories just to turn an idea into something readable. I write to bring life to a character and his journey, while I avoid stretching my stories unnecessarily. And yes, this story will probably have around 50 chapters, though I am not yet sure about most of the plot, but I will work it out. Also, it was a typo and I fixed the beginning of my story, thanks for pointing it out. Now to answer your question: His father had visited an uncountable number of worlds and it was more or less a coincidence that he arrived at Planetos and decide to lay down his life there. It also isn't possible to sire another phoenix, neither for his father nor for him. He could have made a child with his mother, but that child would have been an ordinary human, if he didn't have him inherit his power. He is also the strongest being in his Universe - an unmatched and singular existence.

Dude, I just red all 3 chapters and I must say, how can you write so many diverse stories and yet being perfectly capable of quenching my thirst for OP MC novels so perfectly at the same time? Were you born in this World just to provide me extreme enjoyment and entertainment? I'm barely kidding about this! xD Tbh it's uncanny how everything you wrote so far fits my current tastes and the frequency of updates its also far beyond my expectations, I can hardly believe it! Anyway regarding this story, obviously I love it, mostly because it starts off as an even better version of one of my all time favourites that I've red in MTL twice, "Marvel: the King", RIP poor human devourer, you will not be missed, and welcome to our new Draconic Devourer Overlord stealing meta knowledge, the only regret being that this work probably won't span thousands of chapters and go through several Worlds and setting while devouring and integrating all the best powers from each and any of them, but at this point I trust your ability to make an awesome self contained story in less than 50 chapters so I'll embrace whatever I will get with open arms! Anyway the only issue I had with this chapter was that I think that the opening is a bit off as (at least I think) it should be "Dragons. Once aN incredibly" instead of "Once a incredibly" but I'm not sure if both forms are ok, it just felt wrong to me. Regardless of that, keep up the great work! I'm really enjoying the phoenix FF as well, I have questions about the origins of the MC (like, what was such a powerful phoenix doing in Westeros and was his father death the only way to enable his birth) but as long as no opponent of his own league of power pops off out of nowhere just to add pointless struggle, I'm sure I'll also love it to the very end!
