Thank you. If I have any updates regarding this issue, I will make sure to get back to you.

Keep the funds, I am happy to support this endeavor if I get to use it in the future .. hopefully you can iron out this issue.

Seb263

I understand your disappointment, but I believe that with some time, other people will encounter the same issue and an explanation will eventually be found (at least, I hope so). Have you nevertheless tried removing the ESL flags from the 2 mod plugins? That might help you. In the meantime, the best I can do is offer you a refund for your subscription...

Nir Shor - Media Composer, Producer and Performer

This is very unfortunate, was really looking forward to trying this out

Hey I am on VR as well, have you gotten this to work on your load order? can I ask what version of the Address Library were you using? Thanks!

Seb263

Simple Beheading will never have this problem because it doesn't rely on any unofficial plugins (the mod consists only of a DLL). I haven't encountered any other cases like this, or at least, none that a VR user hasn't been able to resolve on their own. For example, @Sam Savra seemed to have had exactly the same issue, and according to him, no problem appeared when only the VR Address Library and the Dismembering Framework were activated. Perhaps this is a lead to explore in order to identify a potential incompatibility with something else? As for me, the best I can do for now is to recompile the mod (in case something went wrong). A "V2" of alpha 2 is now available online. Sorry for not being able to provide more answers at the moment, I only have a hypothetical understanding of how the VR version works.

Nir Shor - Media Composer, Producer and Performer

Thanks for the reply, I am quite certain that is not the issue .. I have ported Nolvus into VR with a loadorder of 2500+ plugins with many of them being ESL's .. and I never had issues with ESL plugins, simple beheading works properly as well.

Seb263

Strange... Unfortunately, I can't test it because I don't have that version of the game. However, I might have an explanation. It seems that the VR version of the game doesn't officially support lite plugins (ESL/ESPFE), and the mod is currently converted to ESPFE. So, I recommend three things: 1. Make sure you have installed the latest version of VR Address Library for SKSEVR: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/58101 2. If not already done, install Skyrim VR ESL Support: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/106712 3. (If 1. & 2. doesn't work) Remove the ESL flags from the two plugins of the mod and try again.

I have tried both using my mod manager (MO2) and copying it directly to the data folder and the same issue happens regardless. An error dialogue pops up asking if I want to continue loading and I just get several additional errors with a different form name: "markerExplosion" and "PushExplosion". When I load the game I do get a MISC item entry named 'Limb Ref'

Seb263

It is most likely an issue with the mod manager being used in this case. It seems to occur randomly for people, regardless of the mods being used. If you ignore these errors and the game launches, can you open the console and type HELP "limb ref" and then tell me if the console finds a "MISC" entry? Anyway, I recommend manually installing the mod (drag and drop into the Data folder). This is the only reliable solution.

Nir Shor - Media Composer, Producer and Performer

Plugin is definitely on, everything is activated.

Seb263

Hi, thanks for your support. This error simply indicates that the mod is installed correctly, but the plugin "Dismembering Framework.esm" is not activated in the load order. I recommend checking your mod manager to ensure it is activated.

Nir Shor - Media Composer, Producer and Performer

Hey I tried the latest V6 version but I get an error on startup as stated in the comment above mine: Error: Form "LimbKeyword" not found in "Dismembering Framework.esm", and proceeds to do the same for two more keywords. VC_Redist is installed and I am using SkyrimVR, any idea what could be the cause?

Magink

Also, If I disember more than one enemies at a time, it will cause CTD. Oh didnt find there is an update. Let me test

Magink

Thanks for answering

Seb263

That's good news! I will look for a solution for this function then.

Sam Savra

Seems to work great, no errors on my side!

Seb263

It's related to a function with negligible utility (the visual effect on the severed limb). Therefore, I have temporarily disabled it while I find a permanent solution. I've uploaded a special archive for VR. Could you take a look and let me know if any other addresses are missing? Thanks.

Sam Savra

I tried out a new save with only Dismembering Framework and the newest version of VR Address Library enabled, no errors this time until I attempted to dismember a bandit, DismemberingFramework.dll sent out this error: REL/Relocation.h(1077): Failed to find the id within the address library: 55946 This means this script extender plugin is incompatible with the address library for this version of the game, and thus does not support it.

Seb263

Hmm, if there is a problem in VR, it's unlikely to be this error. This error indicates that the DLL plugin was unable to load an element from the Framework's ESM file. Are you sure that it is properly activated when the game starts?

Sam Savra

Is there any chance of Compatibility with SkyrimVR? Simple Beheading - NG works great with VR, but Dismembering Framework seems like it fails to function, popping up with the error: Error: Form "limbKeyword" not found in "Dismembering Framework.esm"

MomsCreditCard

It works perfectly now. Thanks for the works.

Seb263

Hello, The assets are primarily designed to fit gloves and boots ONLY. If I'm not mistaken, the modifications made by your mod are at the armor level. So, for example, to create only the assets for iron gauntlets for your mod, you would need to create as many variations as your mod modifies armors. This would be multiplied by 2 (for both arms) and then multiplied by the number of gauntlets for which you want to make these modifications. While technically feasible, I doubt anyone would want to create so many variations of assets! That's why, for the time being, I've limited myself to 4 default sets of assets (naked, clothing, light, and heavy), even though I'll probably end up making all the vanilla assets eventually.

Magink

Hi How can I patch my Sleeves of Skyrim mod for this? the disembered meshes use vanilla skryim mesh instead of my mesh that added sleeves and pants.

Panda Pancakes

Its working for me now. Thanks!!

Seb263

Thanks for your patience. Based on the feedback I've received, it should now work perfectly for everyone. So, I'll keep only the functional archive. Enjoy the mod, everyone!

Alceyone

It works now on regular MO2 install, 1.5.97. No error popup, and I see the log now. Thank you!

Seb263

I have just uploaded another archive (DismemberingFramework_Alpha01_NG_V2.zip). Could you please try again?

MomsCreditCard

same issue here with both versions. "The failed plugins are: • Couldn't load DismemberingFramework.dll (DismemberingFramework_Alpha). A dependency DLL could not be found (code 126)."

Alceyone

Sadly still the same :( I tried regular install via MO2, then manual install. No logs still

Seb263

I just added a new archive, "DismemberingFramework_Alpha01_NG_14.38.33130.zip," in which the mod has been recompiled using a slightly older version of MSVC, which might potentially solve this type of issue. Could you let me know if the result is different?

Alceyone

Followed your instructions, still the same error popup, no DismemberingFramework.log either. Probably some really strange issue on my end when it works on your end

Seb263

Although I've installed MO2 and tested the mod on it without any issues, it might be worthwhile to try installing the mod manually to pinpoint any potential problems with MO2. It's quite simple to do: just manually move the SKSE folder from the archive into your "Data" folder, then launch skse64_loader.exe. If the mod library is loaded correctly, a "Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\DismemberingFramework.log" file should be created (please note, this wouldn't necessarily mean the mod is correctly installed, but rather that there's indeed an issue with MO2).

Alceyone

I've updated the C++ Redistributable with the very same file as well earlier. Tried loading in game with only SKSE and Address Library (both redownloaded and in proper versions), still no luck :(

Seb263

Just in case, make sure you have an up-to-date version of C++ Redistributable (you can download it from here: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe)

Alceyone

I'm getting the same issue as well, on MO2.

Clowncar

Working wonderfully on version 353 with 885 mods, no problems so far! Thanks so much! This is awesome!

Seb263

Perhaps, but I can't say for sure as I don't use MO2. In any case, I have recompiled the mod and confirmed that it works with both version 1.5.97 and 1.6.1170 (so I imagine the intermediate versions work as well). Feel free to download the archive again!

Sovereign

My game is also 1.5.97. I wonder why it's not working. Could be my MO2

Seb263

Normally, the plugin is designed to work with all versions of the game. That being said, I conduct all my tests on version 1.5.97 of the game, so I cannot confirm that certain incompatibilities do not exist. I'll try to find some time to install other versions of the game and see what's going on. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sovereign

MO2 is saying SKSE reports an incompatible plugin. Is the alpha only available for a specific game version?

Alaxouche

super, je vais tester ça tout de suite!

Let's go!!!
