One more thing after watching the rest of it. In seasons 1 through 4 episode 9 is always bettter than the finale. So yes episode 9s always feel like a finale. Don't feel weird bc I also get emotional in many of the dragon scenes. It's just something about the cinematography, music and direction in these scenes. The way the characters react and all that too. I've been into dragons my whole life and have always been into any shows or movies that features them. Great reaction and I can't wait until the next one.

This never gets any easier to watch. Props to Kerry Ingram for doing an amazing job on really selling that scene. Earlier in the episode when you were freaking out about the horse burning I'm like 😬 o boy just wait. I always have to pause it and regroup after that scene. This episode was constructed so freaking weird like let's burn the child then expect you to be invested in the rest of the episode lol. There are many tear jerking moments in this show but as a father that is the only one where I felt myself crying uncontrollably. No forgiveness for Stanis ever. This actually made me believe he would have been just as bad as Geoffrey. Ok now I'm calm and about to finish the rest lol.

Great reaction Nat as always! Man this episode really hits you in the feels. I've seen all these seasons a few times and even though I know what's coming it still gets me. The first time I watched this season, I knew what was coming (no I didn't read the fifth book, yet at that point, or even now, actually). That didn't make me hate Stannis any less when it happened. Up until the point this scene happened, I kept hoping that I was wrong. But, unfortunately, I was not wrong. From what I've heard in message boards, This scene doesn't happen in the books

Natalie, you are the Princess Shireen of House Baratheon, but without the horrible parents and without the greyscale! (and we all want you to teach us how to read!) Cockles are a real thing. They look like tiny clams. They usually are not seen in most seafood counters in this country because they are expensive and you only get a tiny bit of meat in each, but they are actually very good and in-season are served as appetizers in good restaurants. If you ever see them on a specials menu, you should order them.

Well, look at the mess they did after this when all they had was a bare-bones outline of what's to come from George R. R. Martin! Season 6 was the best of the final 3 seasons, but it had just as much bad as it did good! Then it only got worse from there! Once they ran out of book material, everything just got so much worse! Honestly, I think they got a little too full of themselves with all the success the show was getting. Benioff and Weiss kept deviating from the books more and more as the seasons went along, too. I'm currently re-reading (listening) to the books (I'm in the middle of the second book) and even from the beginning, there were a lot of differences between the books and the show.

Honestly, THAT scene might be the hardest one for me to watch. Even more than the Red Wedding, etc. Also I don't see why people would make fun of you for getting emotional over the dragons. We all hate when dogs and such get hurt, no difference :P Even if they are fake - they're still animals!

Of course nothing makes the sacrifice of Shireen right, but it would make more sense - contextually - if they had gotten into the legend of Lightbringer, the sword of flame that could only be awakened when it's forging was cooled by Azor Ahai plunging its blade into the heart of his beloved, the great sacrifice necessary to save the world.

This is arguably the hardest of the episodes to watch in the entire series, for all of the amazing things that happen... and, as odd as it is to say, it's from this episodes that things start getting better, that the audience finally begins to have more reasons to cheer than to cringe. So there's that. Honestly, from the start, this is the one I was most worried for our dear Nat over. :(
