Yeah the next two episodes are pretty great (even though... there are some issues *cough* zigzag *cough*). There's even some good episodes next season too. And the last season has some good bits but its mostly enjoyable in a hatewatch kind of way.

I think the writers forgot that the Faceless Men are Assassins, people who kill through stealth, deception, subterfuge, low-magic, and cunning; they are not Terminators that chase you through the streets and fight in one-on-one duels.

Arya's plot armor is strong probably the strongest. Poor Robb didnt have any plot armor, dude made one mistake marrying some girl he loved and got axed. plot armor is par for the course in entertainment but at least do a better job of masking it. Arya surviving is the biggest load of crap in the show so far. She lost every fight against the waif, she got her butt destroyed and some how she beat her despite her injuries?? they were abdomen injuries there's no way she could fight with those. Also shes 5 foot 100 pounds she would lose just about any fight shes in against another person who can fight.

Yeah, its even worse than Prometheus when Shaw had surgery on her stomach and two minutes later is running around like an action star. I am not looking for absolute realism but some things are so egregious.

Rob Stark's wife: gets stabbed five times in the belly, instantly dies. Arya: gets stabbed five times in the belly, falls into a shit-infested street canal, sleeps it off, does parkour through the city the next day, kills a trained member of the Faceless Men in single combat after only a couple months of stick fight training. This is it. This is the moment the show, definitively, jumped shark. And they jump shark HARD.

I agree that the way they shot that whole scene with Arya was masterful. I was so glad they brought the Hound back. Him, Arya and Theon are my 3 favorite character arcs.

6-9 is one of the best episodes of the show, and an amazing episode of TV. There are a few epic shots in that episode, as well as some of the shots in 7-4.

Pleasantly surprised that you enjoyed this episode so much. Many people who watch it always find it to be one of the worst in this season. That shot of Arya cutting the candle will never not be awesome. Great set up for that throughout the season.

Thankfully for the people of Riverrun, Jaime isn't Tywin. Tywin would 100% have killed everyone there. No thanks to Tywin, 2 of his 3 children actually have better morals than him. The verdict is still out for Cersei though.

Popular theory is Ja'quen Hagar was also Serio Farell in season one. The entirety of Aryas journey was foreseen by the faceless god and thus he smiles because everything went exactly as planned. As convoluted as it may have been, it taught her exactly what she needed to become who she was meant to be.

"I choose violence" One of Cersei's better lines. As much as I disagree with her actions and motivations, I support her standing up for herself. Interesting episode for Jamie. We get to see his two halves. The good side which Brienne seems to bring out. And the bad side which Cersei brings out.

A lot of great moments in this episode today Nat. I really like Tyrion trying to tell his joke. "It's supposed to make you laugh, ideally" π I loved your cat and mouse analogy for the waif and Arya. It was perfect. And now she's finally leaving Dagobah and heading for home. We're almost done with this season, just the 2 episodes to go and I can't wait to watch them.
