But star wars has always been about lukes struggle with the dark side. Him making the mistake with ben, seeing what he would become, and then blaming himself only to return to save the rebellion is classic star wars.

I loved this movie. The next one however…..just makes me sad with how bad it turned out.

My biggest problem with this movie is how Luke was kinda just thrown away as a character to make way for the new era of jedi. His story was pretty much, saved the galaxy from the Sith by believe in the light side of his father and putting faith in him; to attempting to kill his nephew cause he saw a little bit of dark side and ruining everything he had worked towards. Then he hides on an island for years in shame. Now this is canon and so many possible stories are just thrown out the window as possiblities.
