RRR quickly became one of my all time favorite movies. I got to catch it when it came through the theaters in 2022 and it was the Telugu, which I feel is the superior version (the English subtitles for some reason are a bit better). I wish there was a legitimate physical copy version of this movie and not the knockoffs floating on ebay.

Also in addition to my previous comment , I’d like to add that it always gets me how Ram’s eyes shine with unshed tears when he is walking into the armory the first time after getting promoted and looking all at those weapons, to finally have his life long dream that he did so much and took on so much to achieve is finally within reach, my God I feel so much for him 😢 so subtle and touching .

This film had my heart like no other, words fail me & fall short in expressing how much I love it & enjoy it, and how my heart is captured forever by Ram Charan ❤ I related to your reaction to him at the end BIG time 😂, I’m so happy your appreciated it Natalie, yours was the best attentive reaction, so I wanted to share with you some trivia from IMDB that makes you appreciate it even more and it’s depth . “The bridge and the Naatu Naatu scenes are both miniature reflections of the larger movie as a whole, during the bridge scene , Bheem (Akhtar) rescues the boy from under the burning bridge , while Ram (Raju) Carrie’s the 1905 Indian flag with the inscription “Vande Mataram “ (praise mother India) this coincides with the larger movie, because Bheem’s main objective is to rescue Malli, while Ram is out to rescue the whole nation, similarly l, the structure of The Naatu Naatu dance scene represents the movie as a whole Raju ( Ram ) and Akhtar (Bheem) start out as brothers, then have to compete with each other, and finally culminate to Raju yielding to allow Akhtar to win the dance sequence, this coincides with the movie as a whole because they become friends, then they fight (not knowing that they both have similar goals)and finally Ram yields his goal of sending British weapons back to his village in order to save Bheem (Akhtar) and consequently be captured by the British” if you see a video of the director S S Rajamouli on YT breaking down Naatu Naatu song on vanity fair channel, which I highly recommend, you’ll hear him say this. “At the end of the film Ram (Raju) gives the rifle to Bheem (Akhtar) and had Bheem shoot governor Scott, at first, this seems illogical, because Bheem’s goal was to rescue Malli, and Ram’s goal was to rescue the nation, Bheem’s goal was already realized whether or not it was Bheem or Ram who killed governor Scott, it would seem more logical if Bheem were to help Ram realizing his own goal of freeing India from the British control. The reason why Ram allowed Bheem to kill governor Scott can be seen in the two “Don’t eat with your left hand “ scenes, the first of them during the Dosti song when Ram gets sad after seeing Bheem eating with his left hand, because he is reminded of his younger brother who was killed by the British and it is revealed during the flashback sequence during the second half of the film that his brother too had the habit of eating with his left hand , Ram’s younger brother was killed by the British but these two scenes represent that Bheem is Ram’s new brother, Ram allowing Bheem to shoot governor Scott in the end is actually Ram’s revenge against the British for killing his blood brother. “

I'm about to watch this (finally signed up with ZEE5 just for this movie), but speaking of "Bollywood," it would be cool if you watched Slumdog Millionaire. I'm not sure how well it will resonate, though, it depends on if you're familiar with the old gameshow "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?"

Isis Peoples

You're an Angel 😇

Isis Peoples

So excited for this!!!

Troy B.

Thank you for this.

Danishprince

Well my name is Hamlet so that wasn't a bad guess ;)

Baron

That was what I thought, but a small part of me was convinced you might just be a huge fan of Hamlet.

Colton Matthews

yeah fully agree with Logan. Some movies are long and thats good.

Arthur Bright

Won the Oscar this year for Best Original Song, no less.

Draemian

Its set in the colonial period in India, and has a combination of action/drama etc with some fantastic musical numbers (as you might expect from India). You can easily find some clips on youtube to get a feel for the pretty wild ride you get with the movie

Vincent Pang

its an indian movie that became a cult classic. If you know movies you should have heard about this.

Danishprince

As my username suggests I am Danish ;)

Kevin Bartelen

I've never even heard of this, so I'm asking sincerely.. WTF is RRR? Like what is it about, what genre, everything. I thought I knew movies, I see a new one every Friday in theaters and yet I've never even heard of this one.

LJ Mickey

Thank you for choosing this. I haven't seen any Indian films before RRR and this was a beautiful, funny and emotional rollercoaster of a story. 5/5 Amazing

Baron

I am curious wait are you British? I heard about some drama with British people complaining about the over the top bad guys, Nat def noticed how over the top they are. When it first came up on Netflix I avoided it because of how ridiculous the clip they picked to show off the movie was. I caved and watched it with Nat and was pleasantly surprised not perfect but far from bad.

Nine Anutza

I loved this movie and the dance and the performance they did at the oscars, it was so good <3

Baggie Mark

Yeah, there were a few times the audio got confusing lol

Danishprince

There's too many movies and shows out there, ain't no reason to spend time on something that imo looks terrible just because others enjoy it lol

Logan Kerlee

xD That was great!! I never saw that honest trailer! hahahaha, love when they do a great job talking about an amazing movie! :)

Logan Kerlee

This really was a fantastic reaction! I had so much fun watching along with her. I've only watched this movie solo, so having that experience was very nice. :)

Logan Kerlee

Ram is gorgeous 1000%! I'm a straight dude and I'm saying that. xD He's a hunk.

Logan Kerlee

LMAO!! It ABSOLUTELY was necessary!! xD

Logan Kerlee

For sure!! Skipping Netflix is the better choice.

Logan Kerlee

Yeah! For that reason I chose to go with their language (not using Netflix) and english subs. Was that one 100% correct? I've got no idea. I just know that everything made sense.

Logan Kerlee

That's your choice but I think you (everyone) should go ahead and try it out. It's a high quality movie that fills a lot of people's niches. Just go ahead and give it a shot - it'll be worth it. :)

Danishprince

Think I will on the YT edit for this one as it just looks like a movie I wouldn't enjoy at all :D

Logan Kerlee

xD Yeah, no, the timer is what you go by. Previously, a good bit ago reactors were able to have the films/shows up without them being blurred. I actually prefer it this way, now! It's far less distracting to my eyes while watching the movie as it is now. :)

Logan Kerlee

I haven't ever watched either of those films but I'll go ahead and check them out! Appreciate the recommendation. :)

Logan Kerlee

Oh I would too!! I'm in total support of more Indian movie reactions! :D

Logan Kerlee

THANK YOU FOR WATCHING THIS!! Natalie, really - I am so happy that you watched this. I just finished watching the movie with you a few minutes ago and I've got no clue what to say other than what I just did. Knowing that other people that I like/respect enjoy this movie brings me such joy! Thank you for that. I'm not going to lie or hide the fact that I broke down to tears two or three times during my watch of this just now. I'd already seen this - so I knew what was coming. It still brought me to tears! This movie's amazing!! I'm beyond happy that it was made and made available to us, here. Looking forward to some TV shows next week. :) Be well Natalie, enjoy your weekend!

Byron

My fourth watch and it never gets old. Such a great movie. The honest trailer for it is one of the most enthusiastic honest trailers I’ve ever seen and really captures the wonder of seeing The movie fit the first time. https://youtu.be/_9K3nj_v8xU

Dennis Macko

This was one of your best reactions. So much fun to watch. This movie is so great.

Thomas Richter

You should watch Napoleon Dynamite next, if you haven't watched it yet

Gunnar Rea

Just here to toss Enthiran into the hat.. The first Indian movie i saw.. Certainly was an experience..

Logan Kerlee

lmao - I'm hoping for the same but I'm VERY happy that she chose to watch this. I love this film. :)

Logan Kerlee

This movie doesn't need to trim any fat. it's perfect as it is.

Patrick Mitchell

I’m so glad you watched this movie and enjoyed it, it’s such an epic and fun ride, and Naatu Naatu is possibly the greatest musical number in a movie ever.

Explxsive

A suggestion for another Indian movie would be Baahubali and Baahubali 2. The second one felt as amazing as RRR to me, but even the first is great. Would love to see more Indian movie reactions

Explxsive

Loved Nat thirsting over Ram because same. That man is so hot Also the faces shown at the end dance sequence were important revolutionaries in the fight for freedom against the British empire.

Michael G. Munz

"A carriage of FLAMES?! Was that necessary, bro?!?" YES. IT. WAS. 😁😁😁

Rey

Awww i dunno know why i was hoping for the menu lol

Daniel Amaral

If you want to use the Netflix version instead of paying for Zee5, Nat's zero time is around 18 second in. So when Nat's time is at 00:00:00:00 Netflix time needs to be 00:00:18:00 Also the scene cuts in the picture in picture blur gets horribly desynced, so don't worry when the cuts suddenly don't match to the movie. It's not Netflix, it's desynced for Zee5 as well. Just trust the timer.

Simon Bauer

Better to watch in their language with English subtitles, gives the emotion of the performance imo, can’t wait to see this one

Navjot Singh

Your pronunciations were spot on except for the word 'Hindi'. You pronounced it as 'Hindu' which is a religion. Also, Indian actors don't sing in their movies. We have background singers for them. There are only a handful of Indian actors who can actually sing and have done so in their movies.

Adam Doyle

yeah, i always have to be a second faster than the timer

Baggie Mark

OMG what a wild ride... The strange thing was I watched it on Netflix with English audio and English subtitles as well and for some reason the English audio and subtitles used different words on many occasions. For example the subtitles said "to cut off the head of the Lion" but the audio said "cut of the head of the snake"... odd decision to change the words. But a great film... Thanks Nat

Marko T.

Godzilla vs Kong wasn't what I want from a King Kong movie but I enjoyed it. I had seen the japanese version from 1962 so I knew what to expect.

Jenny Tolls

Same. I hate how people love it so much. Especially Kong vs Zilla. It was such a corn fest. I don’t expect a movie like that to be a cinematic masterpiece but it didn’t have to be so cheesy.

Andy Jordan

Glad you enjoyed this one so much. For me, the Oscar snub of the year was this film not being nominated for Best Picture, although I am glad that EEAAO won. And "Naatu Naatu" did win the Oscar for Best Original Song. If I can recommend a foreign film along these lines, I'd suggest "Kung Fu Hustle", a Chinese film from 2004 that is pretty much every genre (except musical perhaps) that is at once action-packed, bonkers funny and heartfelt all together without a trace of irony. It's one of my very favorite films, and I think you'd really enjoy it. This was a fun one, and it made my morning. Cheers, Nat!

Navjot Singh

Took me two hours to figure out that the blurred video doesn't sync with the timer or what she is watching. The correct way to sync is the timer.

Logan Kerlee

I'm GLAD that you chose to watch this in it's native language! It's so much better this way. :) xD I just watched this the other day but I'll go ahead and watch your reaction here soon. Looking forward to it!

Kelvin

She should also see Game Night (2018) and the new D&D movie, made by the same directors iirc.

Marko T.

Agreed. I didn't like Kong: Skull Island at all.

Adam Doyle

a fun movie but it does drag on too long. I wish this was under 2-1/2 hours, there are plenty of places to edit down. Still a good watch.

Jenny Tolls

Definitely way better than the new crap. 2005 King Kong was an art piece.

Chris Moon

A supremely underrated movie

Chris Moon

You should give Horrible Bosses a watch, it’s hilarious!

Marko T.

Suggestion: King Kong (2005) directed by Peter Jackson.

Erik Stevenson

Ah excellent movie for a surprise! I do wonder if the people saying to watch it in the original language with english subtitles were still just talking about the Hindi version on Netflix, I didn't even know there was a Telugu version actually available anywhere to see.

Boomcity

Sweet! I needed a reason to watch this (other than the fact I hear it's insane) but watching along with Nat should be a good time! 😁

dieselbeast

When you said surprise I was hoping for Scarface lmao but its ok maybe sometime later this year😊 Ill check this one out with you, heard good things about it!

Nathan Smith

Love the choice! Great film

Darryl Low

Happy Feature Friday Nat. Hope your week has gone well 😊 This movie has certainly had a lot of buzz over on the Discord. I look forward to hunting it down and checking it out over the weekend 😊💛

G. T. Blackwell

I had the chance to watch this at Alamo a month or so ago. Wild ride. I look forward to your reaction because... It's bonkers fun.

Andy

Surprise indeed lol
