I feel like you were a little too harsh on Ashley and atrain. Neither deserve to die at all. Yes they aren't the best people but you have to understand their positions. Atrain is finally starting his character arc and has been getting shit since season 2. Ashley same thing. They are all terrified. If I was in their position I couldn't straight up say if not do the same thing. They are terrified of homelander so they'd do anything to make sure they are on his good side

Spot on commentary. Agreed with everything especially this show being more than the sum of it's parts, it lampoons superheroes in the best way possible, through meaningful satire of our current society.

Yes, Invincible is way better than I thought it would be, and I generally like super hero stuff. It avoids some of the weaknesses of The Boys too, namely that the vast majority of the supes are awful people, and even worse, totally incompetent. Even if their abilities didn't make them naturally more competent (which they should for at least some of the heroes) you'd think Vought would spend the time to have them properly trained before sending them out into the field, if for no other reason than to avoid paying all that money in compensation and all the effort involved in covering up the supes' mistakes.

I think the reason Victoria Neuman doesn't pop Homelander's head is that she can't, he's just too strong for that. Also if she tried he'd feel it and laser her to death anyway.

In February the showrunner Eric Kripke said that season 4 isn't the last season. So we definitely have a season 5 incoming.

He's dead dude, that was about as definitive of a death scene as you can get. The cartoon figures in his head cried and comforted him as they faded out and said he'd soon be with God. Also, he was permanently brain damaged and had a life-threatening allergy. Doesn't sound like someone with robust healing abilities.

annie's little white star sneakers, i'm obsessed with her styling! as for the end, i don't know if ALL is lost for ryan. it seemed like he de-escalated what looked was gonna be another billy v homelander. but billy may have to kill ryan too next season, either way it'll be diabolical! and soldier boy is in another coma? it makes me uneasy

So im thinking Black Noir and Kimiko have similar powers, except his healing ability isnt the same as hers. I think black noir is a mix of batman and deadpool cause whats really his super power? Stealth isnt really a power and he isnt specifically strong. I think he'll be back just not quite the same

revisiting this series was definitely a good time. on the topic of super hero shows, i really hope we get an Invincible reaction if you haven’t seen it. phenomenal voice acting from a stacked cast, terrific writing and with season 2 coming out later this year i think it would be a great addition to the channel. plus it’s on amazon 👍🏽

It does play out a little weird but I don’t think it’s really that big of a plot hole. It’s already been established that some supes can survive a blast from Soldier Boy (Kimiko and some at Herogasm) and if they do survive then they have no powers. Maeve is already one of the stronger supes so I think it makes sense her powers were able to help her withstand the blast and fall leaving her powerless after she hit the ground.

The showdown at the end has like 5 separate fights throughout and they all slap 😭 Maeve gave me everything I needed this episode, her training from earlier paying off, her making Homelander bleed, her screaming in anger with one eye??? She’s an icon and I think she got the closest thing to a happy ending we could hope for

I also think the Maeve fall thing was a pretty gaping plot hole. But that doesn't detract from the rest of the awesome season. So many good things about this season! Very curious how they wrap it up Season 4. IF they don't go to a Season 5!

I’m so nervous and excited 😭 even though I’ve already seen the ep but OOF the climax… Can’t wait to see what season 4 brings! I thought 4 was the last season but apparently it’s not, which is cool ofc but it feels like we’re reaching the endgame here, I hope they can pull it off
