Hope you all had a great weekend! Let's get into more Legend of Korra :) I know it's been a bit since I've done a schedule. Sorry about that! Sometimes I just have a tough time committing in advance and need the flexibility. Here's a schedule for this week, but no promises I will always have one!

I mean you could say the same thing about Daredevil S3 doesn't reference anything fro S2 or 1 really other than Fisk being in prison then getting out, even S2 is a whole new thing S1 felt self contained and it ended with no loose ends really it wrapped Fisk storyline up. I do agree tho comapred to 3 and 4, 2 is the weakest but I don't think its bad

Yeah on my first rewatch after hearing every hate on it I expected alot worst. But the only thing I felt was really bad about this season with the "big laser fight" at the end.

Today if something isn't perfect it's automatically bad apparantly. Season 2 has issues for sure but it also has so many great moments and a ton of fantastic development for characters

The frustrating thing about LOK is it was only greenlit by Nickelodeon 1 season at a time. So they had to both try and make each season self-contained while scrambling to actually make a season when they were approved. I think this is the weakest season for that reason, but three and four are amazing IMO. This season does have two of my favorite episodes though, you'll probably know them when they come up. Also, on your own time, I highly recommend the ATLA and LOK comic continuations of the stories! I think there is also one about Kyoshi but I haven't read them yet.

Korra can be a little hardheaded at times, I think it’s because her a huge part of her upbringing has been one of discipline and training to master the elements - while Aang had a life of relative peace as a monk until he discovered he was the avatar And, similar to how Aang’s journey in the show was about coming to terms with being the avatar and finding the courage to face the fire lord, I think Korra’s is about learning when to trust in herself and her own power, but also when to be vulnerable and admit when she needs help 🥹 it’s fun to see that develop I think both characters are great and extremely relatable in two different ways, an avatar for every mood 😊 can’t wait for the next episode!

Really enjoying this series, you seem to understand Korra, both her flaws but also her justifications, a lot better than most. Much the same way that the love triangle was needed to build her character in season 1, these episodes are also needed for character building later on (and not just in season 2).

Happy Monday nat hope you had a lovely weekend and the insane heat wasn't too extreme for you and the doggos. I managed to catch up a little and made it up to season 1 episode 7 so far so obviously saving this for another time 👍 looking forward to Thursday and ted lasso but even more excited for predator 🚁

Today was the first time I've been able to get out in the garden as it's rained pretty much every day for 10 days here. At least you got some thunder and lightning out of it. We keep getting thunder warnings but have had none 😄 Yet more deception for Korra. No wonder she has so many trust issues. Can't wait to see the next one. Thanks for a great reaction today Nat 💛
