Objectively sounds like "I want deep meaning film" honestly I just want to have fun not every movie has to be "complicated" the simplicity of cinema is lost. Because everyone is too serious, I want to get lost in a movie like Scarface. I'm not looking for euphoric reaction just a fun one. The movie isn't perfect or a masterpiece. But it is a classic that everyone should experience at least once. Just like the rest of the movies in this poll.

So many of these are good, I wish we could just rank them rather than vote for one. I'd go "Scarface", "Reservoir Dogs", "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", and "The Godfather." (I know nothing about "Baby Driver" other than Kevin Spacey's in it and I'm much less of a fan of him now.)

I was never a big fan of Baby Driver. I always thought it was overrated with a pedestrian plot we've seen a dozen times before. Not to mention that the plot relies on certain characters doing really dumb things.

I enjoyed Baby Driver because Edgar Wright is undeniably amazing, the music is great, and as you said, the opening is just spectacular. But it’s a movie I just can’t really rewatch because two of the main cast members are… problematic. It’s especially hard for me to separate art and artist for Spacey, but if any allegations against Elgort are true, he’s pretty damn icky too.

“Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang” is one of my favorites and will make for an awesome reaction video. I don’t understand the love of “Baby Driver” outside of that opening sequence… the editing is superb… but the plot leaves much to be desired for me. Plus the female romantic interest has literally nothing to do. Def watch the Godfather films too though. (One and Two for sure)

I voted for Baby Driver because it's so well built and tonally consistent all the way through however, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang is also a great movie as well as The Godfather parts 1 and 2 part 3 is very boring imo.

I disagree with the other two comments. Scarface is an excellent movie that has a very energetic story and lead character. There's also far more than one quotable line from the movie! As for Blow and American Gangster being the exact same.. you really need to open your mind a bit! Yes, they're both movies that center on crime but Scarface is more than those two! For one, Scarface centers on the Cuban Crime Wave and everything that brought. On top of that it has one dope ass soundtrack. Those movies may be great and intended to be imitations of Scarface but Scarface is far more than those two.

I’ll echo that I’d love to know the age range of this Patreon group, because I bet it’s mostly Zoomers and younger millennials. Godfather would be nice but no way it’s winning ahead of a more recent and popular film like Baby Driver. KKBB would be AWESOME though. And poor Scarface in last place… where it belongs ;)

Yeah, I think this poll is just kind of whack. I for one am happy Baby Driver is winning, because I really don’t love the genre of the rest of the films. But Baby Driver is very different from the rest of the films in this poll. I think this poll shows that Nat’s fan base( at least a small majority) Isn’t really into this genre either after seeing Scarface not poll well twice in a row. So I think if we want a mob/crime movie, we need to ONLY have those in a poll, otherwise something more popular with Nat’s crowd will always win.

Baby Driver is excellent and I look forward to your reaction to it, but please please please keep Kiss Kiss Bang Bang on your future lists. It is the movie that proved Robert Downey Jr. was still and excellent actor and deserving of praise. Also the last Val Kilmer role before the poor man got cancer. Honestly, just a great movie all around.

I don't think so, in this specific list I think Baby Driver would win in almost any patron poll and it's most likely age related. I'm 35 and I think these are all fantastic movies. For me though Scarface, Godfather and Reservoir are in an easy tier above the other two. But Baby Driver is 2017 and the next closest is is Kiss Kiss in 2005 before we go to early 90's. I think most patrons skew younger and way more have seen Baby Driver.

Voted for Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang = very underrated movie. Baby Driver would be my 2nd choice. Fun Fact: Baby Driver was directed by Edgar Wright who originally wrote & was going to direct ANT-MAN! However, due to creative differences (w/ Kevin Feige), both Marvel Studios & Wright agreed to part ways months before the start of filming. Rumor was Marvel was not happy with the tone of Wright's version. Edgar would eventually write & direct Baby Driver and IMO what Ant-Man would have looked like - a heist movie that is a little more darker.
